HELP! find SF cd key?

where can i find the cd key, besides the book? somewhere in program files?

I wanna know where to find this too, I got SF from the ea downloader(no book supplied) and rather than redownload it after I format Id like to just burn it to DVD. Cant find the damn key though.

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\username\

in there is a file named something like eagamesbf2-2006online_contentbf2-ep1.eam only about 2kb.

Open this in notepad and about half way down is regkey = **************** thats your cdkey.

in there is a file named something like eagamesbf2-2006online_contentbf2-ep1.eam only about 2kb.

Open this in notepad and about half way down is regkey = **************** thats your cdkey.

Or couldn't you just backup this file and reload it on after a format?

Just burn the Program Files/Electronic Arts folder. Then if you reformat, install BF2 then drop the folder back where it goes. Execute the downloader & it will say "install now" instead of "download now".

:laugh: No we are asking where to find our CD key because they don't supply one like in an email or anything.

I'll try a few methods just to make sure.

actually its for my buddys pc im trying to network off of my pc(he had to move and currently has no internet). he cant find his booklet and the games not installed yet. mine is up and running and working good, thanks for asking .




Twisted thanks for your help, but does that work if the game was never installed in that pc? hopefully he can find his book and make life much easier.
