Euro pack unlocks

If you buy the Euro pack-thing ... do I have to save an unlock from the original BF2 if I want one of the new Euro guns? Or are they standard on servers that have the Euro maps?

No new unlocks, they're just standard weapons for the Euro maps only.

His point is that the new guns coming in the patch are for SF user for playing in BF2 servers, Euro Forces won't have any unlocks that can be used in BF2 servers.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The way I understand it is that the patch will include 2 unlocks (Sniper and AT) that were not in the orginal BF2SF and will only be available to BF2SF owners.

The Euro pack will contain maps that contain Euro forces and their weapons (like Chinese weapons are different to MEC), Euro force will NOT contain any unlocks.

Personally, I'd like to see Euro weapons available in existing maps, but I don't think it's going to happen.

As a side point, how good should the EF2000 be? It was designed as a fighter and should wipe the floor with the existing aircraft.

Pretty staright forward, EA's website clearly states Euro Force is a booster for BF2. It brings a new map, army and weapons to vanilla BF2. It has nothing to do with SF. You don't have to own SF to use the booster, or play with the weapons from the booster. You only need to have vanilla BF2 and buy the booster. Simple enough eh? SF is not part of this. It only requires Battlefield 2 in order to play.

Let's not confuse the booster with the forthcoming patch. The patch is a different matter, but this thread was asking about the booster, not the patch.

I think it will be adding unlocks for new privates and lance corporals, since making the guns for SF doesn't make much sense to me. If they make it so you have to be a 2Lt. for the new ones, a lot of sergeant majors would be POed. So I feel every rank in nilla BF2 save 2Lt getting an unlock is most likely.
