How do I get first-person view?

I'm puzzled as to how I would get a first-person view other than using Fraps. Is there a way? (Sorry, I'm pretty much anti-Fraps) :P

Not to my knowledge; not via BFRecorder or BattleLauncher. Well, unless you're very good with placing and moving the camera so that it remains just in front of a player's eyes ....

Are you anti-Fraps purely because of the performance impact? Or is it something else?

If it's because of the performance hit, then there are a few alternatives including:

    - DV Camcorder
    - RCA DVD-RW/VCR Combo
    - Secondary PC

Of course, it's entirely possible that all three of those alternatives will be of no use to you ...

Even with a DV Camcorder or something similar you will still witness regular performence hits you may experience, IF you experience and possibly still wont be able to record with full graphics anless your computer is a beast.

Well I don't want to use a real camera, lol. I'll just stick with Fraps, I don't have very many first-person scenes that I need anyway.

        Thanks for the help.

Turn off the HUD, renderer.drawhud 0, the video will look more professional

Oh. Yeah, I should mess with some of those settings.
