I think I like this patch, for me when I see an enemy attack heli it takes all of my missiles to take him out, and that's if he doesn't see me. I'd like the attack heli’s weakened so the element of surprise is more effective. I'm tired of them taking all of my missiles then turning around to kill me because all hope of killing him with my lag is gone.
I'm a little surprised at the C4 chucking still in, but I haven't got my expert explosive yet, so all the better if I don't get it before the patch is released. All the more worse if I get it before, and it still hasn't been nerfed, so go figure.

Sounds like your aim sucks to me. About 8-10 rockets I can destroy a current 1.12 heli. I suggest you work on your aim :laugh:

I "was" in the lets wait and see boat. However its painfully obvious you don't have to have played patch 1.2 to know the heli's have been dealt the worse nerf stick I have ever seen.

It means that you are going to have to use a helo strategically rather than just hover around blowing things up. Make hit and runs and pick your targets and I'm sure you will survive OK.

No more so luck. Its fine if you come up against those people who can't work out how to take a heli down, but on our server people already know how to take a heli down :laugh: 2 vodniks already = a quick death, patch 1.2 it will = almost instant death.

For those that say also about the shoot from a long distance well nobody knows yet by how much they changed the distance a tv guided missile can fire either.

Anybody who has flown with me can vouch I'm not a skillless noob in an attack heli. I'm certainly not someone who claims to be the best but I assure you after 200hrs I think I know what I'm doing.

As a pilot I should probably be happy that I can now destroy helis like 3x as fast. However its not gona be that much of a challange now....
I gota agree, improved AA + attacks from other helis + car attacks + planes are gona make a lot of dead helis and if not youre going to have to go repair after each kill.

I bet they totally nerf the helos, but forget to fix the planes.

Helos did NOT need to be nerfed (apart from the blackhawk), they have alot of things that take them out, only planes need a nerfing, once they are up, they are nigh-invincible.

Watch the vid for yourself Mack its painfully obvious.

Plane hitpoints will be lowered, AA is meant to be improved but again planes will still be almost invincible. The planes needing the nerf stick not the heli's bar the Blackhawk which needed a big reduction in hitpoints.

2 Vodniks hardly equals a quick death for a attack helo. Unless the attack chopper is hovering around begging to be shot down two Vodniks is going to do **** all.

Provided chopper pilots remember that after the patch they aren't in a flying tank and use caution in how they approach the enemy poitions I think they will be fine. Obviously you aren't going to agree so we will just have to wait till patch 1.2 has been out for a while and see what happens.

The whole idea of taking down a plane is another plane.. not some guy in the dpv.. on another note does anyone think that the at rockets seem to go faster?

Sigh. I am rapidly losing faith in this patch. The continuation of C4 throwing alone makes me want to puke.
