Is SF expansion pack a good deal?

I've been thinking about buying the SF expansion and wondered if it was worth it, because I heard about the bugs and glitches. I enjoy BF2 and plan on purchasing the booster packs, but is anyone still going to play the other BF2 games. Just wanted to know from the users, Thanks.
I also think it would be cool if you could repell out of helicopter instead of the air borne method, and recieve an assault badge like the one I have.

Sorry. Couldn't respond earlier. Busy playing SF. Yar. I sure hate it. I can't decide which I like less:

strapping C4 to the ATV and flying over the hills (think 2.5 x speed of the buggies in vBF2), rear-ending, front ending, side ending--really just plain ending--any armor/apc/cap point in the game

or

lobbing stinkclouds of tear gas at those sorry Roosekies

or

focusing on ground combat instead of having "mini-arty" of bomb drops at every contested flag points

Yeah. Fuggedabouttit. Anyone who'd buy it is totally insane. Besides, who needs the 6 additional unlocks that come with SF, plus the the additional sniper and AT unlocks will show up in the upcoming patch. You can just fire up a friends computer that has SF, play a round, and then go back to plain vanilla.

LOL :) Sorry it too me so long to reply, but that was the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
The NVG seems cool alone, but the ramming with c-4 has happen to me in vBF2, that is awful, just when you think the guy is running for his mommy, BOOM, you have an out of body experence.

This is in my opinion, the best expansion for any game I've played. There's so many new things and just the thrill of a whole new type of gameplay with the gas, flashbangs, etc etc make it a whole different place with the same feel as normal BF2.

Definitely have my vote on it. :)

Great expansion, for me there is only 1 downside, that is the slideshow when I try and pilot the heli, though this is supposedly being fixed in the next patch, well we will wait and see anyway.

You gotta love being able to use the grappling hook or zip line to go and knife that pesky sniper. Claymores are nearly obsolete in this expansion, muahahaha!

I like to play infantry maps, and thats SF.
No planes that own the game only choppers, but they are only on 1 map pretty powerfull(Iron gator)
So do you like to play infantry to???
then SF is the game for you :)

If you're an infantry player, SF is definitely good value! Lots of tightly-contested areas and action everywhere! The maps are much smaller than vanilla, and with 64 players on the server you can't feel safe *anywhere*.

Feels more like a realistic battle environment to me than vanilla. I love it! :)

actually, they are on 5, ghost town, surge, mass destruction, iron gator and leviathan, so many, it kind of ruins it sometimes, but they can be big maps, anyway, yes SF is deffanatly worth the buy, even with the booster packs being so close, my bf2 gaming was re-born when i purchased this and i've barely touched vanilla since, go for it.
