add your music in bf2??

Do you think it would be possible to add your own tracks into Bf2?
Just to change the standard intro/in game music.
I've been looking around but did not find any answer for this.

I think it would be nice if it could be changed a bit more, and my girlfriend thinks this too...she hears it all day and doesn't even play :rock:

You were able to do this in BF42 and DC i beleive. Dunno about bf2.

Rumor has it it will cause a hardware ban.

Do a search, it has been discussed millions of times.

I requested for someone to officially end all the questions, and finally test it out, editing the files, and changing the song. He reported that it was actually successful and didnt generate any errors. Don't quote me on that though..

I thought modify content wouldn't be allowed on PB servers ? This prevents hacks...

If it were the same size and type PB wouldn't know the difference. And you can change some files as they don't effect game physics, such as you localized file, removing the intro movies, etc..

Hmm, I ALWAYS play with music. I like to hear some music when i'm flying my plane. It gives me a kick when i kill someone on the rithm of the music. hellacool :-)

Have any of you guys played BF2 and WinAmp at the same time?

For some reason I can't fly a plane, it just won't go up instead I just roll down the airstrip into an object.

But that's only with a keyboard. If I fly with a joystick then there's no problem.

Set winamp not to occupy your keyboard with its shortcuts then.
I very often play with low-key music (at a volume where I can still hear everything going on in the game) running in winamp, and there haven't been any problems really.

Yeah i wouldn't mind setting one of my own songs as part of the menu music, would be cool but i aint too bothered. As far as ingame music is concerned, i find it fun to play with music on because it always feels like your playing at a much faster pace IMO.

I'm a big music listener when it comes to games, but this game I felt it wasn't helping, it was distracting, with all the sounds of gunfire around be I noticed I lot of my kills are due to my effectiveness of using sound. If I hear someone shooting near me, I'll be ready for him.
