Re: installing BF2:SF on XP 64 bit?
I had a problem installing the online installer, well not installing but getting it to download the installer. I had to download the installer on my 32 bit machine then move it to my 64 bit machine then install it. The web site did not like x64 Windows and would not permit the download. Besides that x64 windows is great.Comment

Re: installing BF2:SF on XP 64 bit?
Its been awhile but I believe the web site asks you to RUN instead of SAVE the INSTALLER just save it instead then move it to the x64 machine to run and install.Originally posted by 69therealdeal69So you moved just the installer or the whole file to 64?
I had BF2 & SF installed on my 32 when I built my x64 and I try'd to just move'n over but it did not work ( I got invalid CD KEY error) apparently it makes some kind of HARDWARE guid so people cant share there copies of SF, I wonder why
You must only move the INSTALLER install file over and then INSTALL it then download SF and Patches ONTO the x64 machine. The installer codes a hardware GUID so it will only work on the machine the INSTALLER is installed on.
Hope thats clear cause now I'm start'n to confuze myself, I need a nap.Comment
