Bt assaulting DICE (BF2 1.2)

I have always had the idea to make a fragmovie, and I mostly thought about makeing it all about my primary class the assault.

But the thing is, I wanted it to have something more to have it stand out among all the other fragfilms. Well, with the alphatest of 1.2 going on last weekend and DICE employees gathering for some evening fun i had thought "what the hell, I might get some fun footage" and joined the server with fraps recording.

Now I have finished editing the film and what to share. Like i said, this is 1.2 alpha footage, against dice from a first person view.

Holy Crap Batman!
Thats one of the first real shooting skills I've seen in a long time. No bunny hopping, no dolphin diving (I'm looking forward to mocking the people who claim to "practise" exploiting)
Wow, how did you get to beta test the patch, with DICE!

I would love to have a connection like that, Jesus, was that on LAN, no lag what-so-ever, what was your ping?

And finally, the video was excellent, half of me was in pure admiration yet the other half was screaming at you to kill those DICE employees!
You did very well on both parts, bringing something new, and I can say you definitely made a successful fragmovie.

XaliaS: I am crew on bf2.se and got to test the patch through "cmd" (he is the AT you see beeing chased around a tree in one scene) contacts. Played on a EU server with decent ping, not LAN :p

WTF?! I'm confused now. The movie was great, and I loved the music you chose.

But wtf? If DICE were testing the patch with you, why is the GL still used the same as before. A few times, you shot a grenade at your feet and it exploded.

Maybe theres a way to cook grenades "timers (as they said)"
Maybe firing at such a close range would indicate the grenade was moving at a high velocity, enough for it to explode upon contact at close distances (they also said it 'blows up on a direct hit,' whatever that means)

Very cool vid but Im confused also.
You said minimal time before use for GL? You were reloading and firing just like in 1.12. I saw no change ?

Yup, this video is thoroughly dissapointing for me.

Proves that the noobtoob is just as capable as it ever has been. How were you still able to use it after all the changes, such as it bouncing away, or it not exploading if it was too close. Were those all direct hits?

I just noticed. Sorry if Im being a total noob but with no UAV on, the part at 2:50 looks a lot like wallhacking.

Hey mate,

could you elborate abit on the L96 behaviour? Especially abot the thickness of the scopelines and such and where it sits qua accuracy.

And do tell me that the sniper rifles have improved.

Well for one, it's recorded using Fraps. this records exactly what you see, and Im not seeing anybody through walls on that video. Also, there's music in the background. This will block and footsteps the player would be hearing in the game. Providing he has a good soundcard, it won't be a problem at all to hear them.
