a new way to kill enemies?

I was playing earlier and noticed a very odd kill I got. A lot of you have already see have seen the [120mm gun] one...got a pic of that too for those that haven't...



but check this one out...I've never seen it before...and just was like "huh?"



Co-axial Mg...er ok, whatever lol, probably the machine gun since that was what I was firing at the time (thus the MG part)...but still, oddness...just thought I would share some of the randomness we see on the battlefield :p

that would be the 120MM shell that the abrams tank fires.

you can change what the weapons are called from the files on your computer can't you? Does someone else play on that computer as well? or maybe you installed something that made minor edits to the game as part of a map pack or something.

Nope. Only one on my computer, and I don't mess with game files cause knowing me I would do something and the computer would blow up.

This doesn't just happen to me though, this can happen to everyone. I know because I read about the 120mm gun kill a few months ago in a topic buried somewhere in these forums. It's just a very rare and weird...I guess glitch. Maybe at some point EA/Dice was going to make it so the individual guns on the tank (the cannon or the MG) would have its own kill signature, and instead later on changed it to just m1a2 to make things easy. Who knows really.

yeah, one time i was playing and i was killed by a MI34. I believe that is the gun on the black hawk. Not sure thoug, but i was killed by a black hawk when it happened.

This happens on occasions, it names the gun instead of the veihcle.

I had something very similar happen, but it was with the BTR-30

It is just a glitch with the death weapon recognition.
Sometimes it displays the actual weapons of the vehicle you are in instead of the vehicle itself.

I've seen it many times, the most common one is the 30mm cannon on the havoc.

This could be an idea, although the game registers the US kill as M1A2 for the Abrams, it could say that someone was killed by 120 MM Gun because he probably climbed up the tank on a suicide run and the gunner knocked him senseless when he turned the turret...no?

Yes, the Co-Axial MG is the gun on the tank that the driver uses. It rotates on the same axis as the main gun, hence the term co-axial
