Virused......

[WAAASSSUUUPP]

I have another problem guys........there's this little thing that keeps appearing saying my computer is infected, and it prompts me to use something called "Adwarestriker", and I keep uninstalling it, but it keeps coming back. I did a virus scan, and had two viruses, but they were removed and this is still here. I did an ad-aware scan and removed everything. I also did a Spybot scan, but it says I cannot remove something called "Smitfraud-C", or something along those lines.

God.......I seriously need to learn how to do this crap on my own >_>

yup, your infected. try ending all processes that are running on your account. then go into msconfig and basically make sure no viruses are on startup. then dop the spybot and all that and clean your computer. uninstall any programs you dont want and delete all unnsessescary folder from "program files". this is what I do.

To put it lighly...you are F***ED. None of the online spyware scanners can get rid of your infection because it is not spyware...its a virus dude!
The online spyware scanners can remove spy and malware that have been invited by the virus but the virus will remain and the spyware will come back over and over. My bro's pc got hit and I took 1 hour in safe mode cleaning the registry and other suspect files to clean it. When my buddy got hit with the same thing I just formatted his hard drive and reinstalled windows.

The virus is spreading within infected jpg files (wmf script) Micro$oft has fixed the security hole with a critical update but it wont do you any good if you are already infected.
And contrary to what a lot of people think...windows automatic updates will continue to apply critical updates to even if your copy of windows is not 100% on the up and up.

Has caught and cleaned a number of viruses to inclued the Iworm (Whihc it looks lik eyou have a variation of). It will also catach trojans.

Give it a shot. Cant hurt at this state

Reboot your computer into safemode (and dont connect to the internet) then search for Smitfraud-C and delete it.

Right I had the same thing but it was spyaxe, they are the same, the only way to get rid of it is EWIDO, its free and was the only thing to delete it so it didnt come back.

try microsoft anti-spyware (i think it also detects torjans and stuff) and b4 running a scan, hit crtl-alt-delete and go to the task manager and end all of those programs that sound like viruses/advertisment stuff..
