Unmodified Client WTF!!! Please Help me

Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current offical version to join.

I HATE THAT MESSAGE. ok this massage here comes always when iam gonna join server in battlefield 2 speacial forces but not in the regular game.

Please Help

You have modified content in your BF2. if thats a mod to let you play with more than 16 bots, or something else, the only way to revert back that won't take aaages is to re-install your game.

That fixed it for me, as I had the same problem.

Now that's strange; I get the unmodified content error in vanilla BF2 (about 1 in 3 maps) - but never in SF! It's not too big of a problem though, as it works when I try to connect to the server again. A bit annoying to lose the SL position, that's all.

And no, I don't have any modified content installed. Only BF, SF and patch 1.12.

PS: Siggy_Horse, did you install patch 1.12 after installing SF? If you installed it before SF, you have to install it after SF aswell - because the SF installation reverts the game (only SF) to 1.1.

Um, it's kinda wierd, but after u install the SF xpack, u have to re-install patch 1.12, even if u already installed it beforehand.

This happened to me once and I don't play SF so I know I didn't modify anything. I reinstalled and it got fixed.

You coulda just reinstalled the patch again. Oh well, re installing only takes 5 minutes. :)

i unninnstalled both games and tried and then i innstalled 1.12 the error came again

just after u install the expansion pack, RE INSTALL PATCH 1.12. the xpack auto brings u back to version 1.10, now AFTER u install the xpack, THEN install the patch again.

Okay. If your getting the message in bf2. Uninstall, delete your battlefield 2 folder, install bf2, then sf then 1.12

yeah.. just patch it wit 1.12 again, no need for uninstall-reinstall of the whole game.

When i had that it was because i had renamed my intro movie files to .backup's. I just changed them back to .bik's ran the game, joined a ranked server, played (and owned :p) for a bit, quit and changed them back to .backup's. Hey presto the problem was gone and has never come back.

When i had that it was because i had renamed my intro movie files to .backup's. I just changed them back to .bik's ran the game, joined a ranked server, played (and owned :p) for a bit, quit and changed them back to .backup's. Hey presto the problem was gone and has never come back.

That's pretty weird.. But I believe you, cause I had something similar happening to me!
As I mentioned above, I got this error in normal BF2, but not SF. About a week ago, a friend of mine came to visit - and since he had never played SF before, I wanted to show him the intro. I haven't renamed the files like you have, I have put them all in a folder called 'bck'. So when he came to visit, I moved them back to the normal folder. We played SF the whole evening, and when he left I moved the files back to the BCK folder.

Since that day I haven't experienced this once in BF - and only one time in SF.

Weird stuff..
