General Disappointments

This is a thread for disappointments over BF2, and/or related products.

I have many, but will only post one to start: I am disappointed they took away the rocket pods on the Blackhawk(look at old screenshots, they had rocket pods).

Im dissapointed that the A10 wont be in the game until Armoured Fury get out.

1) EA keeping you in the dark about patches. It would be nice for them to say 'the patch may be ready in 2 months'. Even if they pick a random day in the future.

2) Releasing the game and not having an official forum until months later. AND its not really a forum just a message board where everything goes.

I for 1 am happy BH dont have rocket pods. they already own to much...

Iam disappointed thats theres no little birds, not enough transports on the maps (is it really that hard to put ATV's on some of the maps), no binoculars for most classes (they really did come in handy in BF42),
no radar on jets like in BFV and no shoulder fired AA missiels

Im not dissapointed, in fact it was better than i thought but if it has to be something, its tha A10.:)

the A10 in DC was nothing compared to the real A10. If you played LOMAC, you would know that putting A10 in a game like BF2, would ruin the entire game. A10 can carry laser guided and infrared guided AGM-65K/D missiles. These missiles will hit any ground target from 5-6 miles away or even maybe more by just pressing one button. They also carry MK80/MK20 bombs and if you were to drop one of them, they have enough power to take more than 3-4 tanks at a time.

Of course if you make the A10 like DC guys did, fine, but what's the realism and fun in that? It's like making F-35B not shooting any Air to Air missiles.

Oh and also, A10 in DC didn't have any air-to-air missiles, the real A10 always carries at least 2-4 air-to-air missiles.

What i don't like about EA/Dice is how they said that the 1.2 patch will be out soon (that was 3weeks ago), but yet the 1.2 Patch will not be release until Booster pack, Euro Forces, is release.

Actually I want to thank DICE/EA for removing that one. The machine guns are already more than enough. This will also make the game unbalanced.

How you can get kicked by a kick vote, I was playing on Karkand today & knifed this player, He couldn't take it & done a kick vote there was only 20 players so i got kicked out by vote, They shouldn't allow any votes unless it's worth it, *****R!

Oh forgot to add he already had -39 from trying to get hes c4 badge!! & i had 40 kills about 10 from the pistol & around 80 score & i get kicked

I'm a little disapointed in the ranking system. It's based on points and numbers instead of accomplishments. Case in point, if your a medic, and you run into a firefight to revive your teammates, while the enemy is capping your flag. You revive 3 people and keep the flag because you revived, you should get a medal. People in the military get medals for doing mundane things, but because he/she did it at that particular time and it worked, it either saved lives or kept a strategic area. Unfortunately it would be rather difficult to track such things. But it is cool when something like that happens, when the moment is over, you think to yourself "Holy Sh*t, I can't believe I just did that and lived!"

Blahblah... The Apache can also take out targets when its some miles from it, but not in the game.

I dont want realism, i want FUN. The best would be if it had an pwning machinegun, 2 dumb bombs and 4 air to air, and since its slow it would be an easy target for fighters.:)

I'm just dissapointed in some of the people that play it. Being an Englishman, I like to see a bit of sportsmanship in GAMES. I rarely see it in BF2. Even the odd 'GG' would do wonders for the atmosphere in the server.

And all the people who use the exploits and don't play it in the spirit of things - just for points. Sad really.
