why not just get rid of friendly fire..it only makes people mad when someone tks and they mite still get mad even if it was by accident

and about realism? well it mite not be as realistic but bf2 isnt that realistic in other senses...but then again when u see an enemy and a firendly soldier is in front of u..u woudlnt be screaming and swearing at ur comptuer saying "get out of my &%$@#& way"

another reason for turning off ff is that everytime a teamamte kills me, i get this feeling of betrayl, anger, and dying without a cause.

Turning FF off does work, but in strait-forward games like CSS and COD, Not for something as complex as BF2.

It can be exploited in many many ways. IE: The commander could drop artillary at a flag being capped, and you could simply walk through the arty, and watch enemies being hit all around you. Ect ect.

Plus there is the C4 jumping with FF off. Look you can also turn off tkpunish which is what I think is annoying you is it? Though turning this off leads to people being able to run riot and blatantly tk if there is no admin on to deal with it.

There are lots of pros and cons. If they fixed the tk system so say for example I'm piloting a BH full of guys, a planes rams me and I tk 5 people. Now obviously its not my fault and obviously I didn't tk those people if they fixed that part of the system I wouldn't have a problem with it.

people would take too much advantage of being able to use c4 and blowing it up right in front of them. maybe something that has no FF but u can still blow yaself up!

Why the heck would they make it so that when FF was off, Your own weapons such as C4, ect, wouldn't affect yourself? How idiotic is THAT?

FF off should be restricted to your teamates alone.

have you ever played in a no FF server? Just tonite I went 45-1 dropping C4 on their spawn while running around since my C4 didnt hurt me. Just like the x-packs in 42 with no ff. Its so cheap but thats what no FF does.

Sure blowing up a jeep full f your own guys is wrong and mostlikely will get you punish into the ground. But dont tell my U dont holler out loud when it happens.:|: ...........and that is what its all about.:p

I thought this thread was gonna be about something like earning presents for playing well or getting lots of points/kills and then being able to reward squadmates with your earned presents for helping the team out n ****. Oh well.

FF off and C4 is the biggest laugh Ive had in BF2 for a long while. Trust me, have a go. Just get a mate to be your ammo man and you will both be laughing the whole bloody round

FF Off is only for newbies imo.
BF2 would not be the same with FF Off
Just because there are smacktards out there that tend to ruin the game with their behavior it should not lead us to changing a very important part of the game.

I would much more support a friendly tag switching option - some line, or dot above friendly players would be enough. I do not need to know each ones name at all times. It gets in the way most times, and confuses who is who in tight combat situations because names are all centered, and display same size while overlapping no matter how far away the other player are.
Also, player names are not displayed at the sides of the screen. Periphery is already bad on a computer screen. No need to limit it even further by adding a "virtual" nametag periphery on the screen.

FF Off is a joke... Fine if you want to learn how to play the game but only then.
