planetside did this as well as WWIIO. i Played Planetside it is a fun game to hold one base with a squad of 12 guys vs 150 enemy invaders for like 3 hours the game itself is pretty boring. i mean there is only so many times you can take the same place over and over. But i stopped playing a little before they got their expansion pack going so maybe it has improved.

But i think the idea is cool, i also heard WWIIO is great but buggy?

What is OFP?

Operation Flashpoint, my absolute favorite game in the world. Giant maps...literally...it's an island, and you can go anywhere. It had cities, weather, forests, mountains, cars, tanks, jets, choppers, boats...lots of things. Very fun game indeed, especially since it came with an ingame editor to make your own levels (one of the easiest to use editors I have ever seen)

OPF2 is supposed to come out sometime in the future...seeing how OPF is kind of 5 years old now

Yea OFP was a great game! I really loved the single player campaign, it was very well made and I really got into it. However, it's a really old game and the graphics are very dated so I haven't touched it in a few years.

Wow, that would be so fun!!
Imagine your with your clan of like 100 guys attacking a MEC stronghold (A palace or something) and you start getting owned, so you call in for support from the nearest armour division and they roll in and kick the **** into the palace and some of you storm in and cap the flag. So you wait there to see if the enemy try to counter attack, and they do with **** loads of armour and they totally batter you up so you call in for a beasty air strike!!

Man that was a deep story:)
But wouldn't that KICK ASS!

EDIT: I have sos many more ideas, might post them!!

lol makes me think like ehmmmm , World Of Warcraft ??? and someone said u needed to prevent spam with making zones, well u can do that like they did in WoW (i love WoW )

The new conan game from funcom i think has sword funstion tied into mouse.

I can really see this happening in maybe 5 years time.
If you think about it, whit all these tech advances it's quite possible.
I know games like WWII online are here already but the graphics are sh*t but only because you can see ingame for like 4 Miles (Bf2 maybe 300m)
