Need some help deciding

Whats the better mid-range card...the xfx 6600 gt or the Powercolor x800 gto 128 mb.... both are available at about the same price...the X800 gto has 12 piplelines to 6600 gt's 8.....but lower clock speeds....whats the better card for BF2?.......

I have an AMD +3200, 1 Gig ram, currently on-board X200 xpress video...

let me give you some advice... first i'll answer your question for battlefield go for nvidia in the midrange cards... but mate dont spend your money on mid range cards because they will be old really quick... so you'll have to buy another card soon and if you count those two up you have 1 high end card... waste of money... but anyways i have your mobo too i think i dunno but if you have a ati chipset an ati card will work better...

He said dont go for the 6600GT, go for the 6800GT as the 7800GT is overpriced and the 6600GT will become outdated soon. I spent the extra money and got a 7800GT rather than a 6800GT, but if a 6800GT is all you can afford then It will still work well

I'd certainly say go for a 6800GT if you can find one that comes close to your price ranger. Otherwise, 6600GT knowing that you'll probably want to upgrade it within the year...
