    Snipers: Wots a shameful death?

Everyone loves to knife a sniper it seems. They think its the worse way to die. But is it? Aint it worse when a assault guy snipers out the sniper before the sniper can?

Come on you snipers, tell us wots the worse way to go out?

I personally think its artillary, it really Pi**es me off to think a commander is so stupid and selfish that instead of dropping arty in the action where its needed, or on a piece of armor he drops it just to kill one guy. I know I have racked up some major scores sniping and can be a real nusiance but just spot me then send in the troops, dont waste a barage on one guy.

It embarasses me when I miss someone repeatedly and watch them come closer and closer before finally shooting me (doesn't happen often but when it does, I feel like a fool). Either that or stepping on my own claymores, thats when I feel like giving myself a good slapping.

some of the worst ways to die for a sniper

          outsniped by a support guy
outsniped by AT guy with rocket
          defibrilator killed by medic
          running over enemy claymore
          ...

Artillery on one guy, be it a sniper or enemy commander or even a lone anti tank troop hitting your armour is a hugely efficient use of artillery.

Most commanders are utterly predictable - they see a huge red blob on their scanner around a flag so drop the artillery onto it. Little do they realise that through sheer numbers the flag will be captured and people will have moved on before the artillery has even begun to hit the ground.

Good commanders use artillery at targets of opportunity and rely on their team to do their part too. Most of the time regular players don't know the sniper is there so it places even greater emphasis on the commander to help them out.

Since you have approx 20+ strikes per game if you kill 20 snipers that's a 20 ticket bonus.

Re: Snipers: Wots a shameful death?

              1) drop a claymore in front of them so their sight is all green. They zoom out and freeze, then boom.

              2) Jump in front of them with a knife and wait for them to twitch, then stab. (risky tactic)

              3) the old C4 flyer. Lay it down and wait for them to fire a round off (they will be concentrating) and then boom (instant shock)

              4) lay C4 in a circle around them, shoot the pistol to get there attention and make them do a little dance. Once you have a little laugh, boom.

I'm not really a sniper but I like to do something along these lines.

Question. Why do snipers pick the hill at the Chinese airstrip on Wake. They are a black dot on top of a hill with a blue horizon?

I gotta say the worst way to go is being out-sniped by a non-sniper. Either that or having a Commander waste an arty strike on me.

Killed by some guy with whatever kit except sniper at a distance of 100m or more, that just totally suck!

Knife is far from the worst thing.

The worst is getting zapped by a medic with shock paddles.

It's far more humiliating than a knife because you have been killed by tools of life!

I usually play medic or sniper, and zapping snipers is brilliant because before he does it, the medic shouts "CLEAR!" before he puts the paddles forward to touch the target. The sniper has enough time to turn around to watch you zap him! If you are both prone, you zap him in face as well!

So how is a commander wasting his artillery by taking out a sniper in which his team can't see and won't follow orders?

I’m sure if the commander sees three of four red dots or armour, and is safe to drop artillery he will choose that option, and if he hasn’t got a clear drop pick on the sniper, one less mug to worry about.

I find it quite a compliment that a commander would use an arty strike on little old me. Proves I'm a threat....

I cannot stand being killed by planes. I mean, there really is no way the plane could possibly see me, he's just spraying the area with rounds but it's really annoying. Especially if you've taken 10 minutes or so to move into a well concealed position. Helo's aren't bad as you can hear them but those damn jets start spraying your position before you even hear them.

The Commanders scan “enemy sniper spotted” then the planes know where you are!

                              I have two.

                              1) Enemy crawls up and spots me: "Enemy sniper spotted!", then stabs me. (This is actually my favorite to do to other people)

                              2) Outshot by Anyone at over 100m.
