Irritating bs...

Ive been seeing this happen alot lately....

People who jump in a heli to pilot and just sit there on the f--king pad waiting for you to jump out so their "buddy" can play as gunner. Worst ones to pull this stupid bs are clan members on pubs. If someone jumps in your bird to play as gunner, take the f--k off and fly around until you get shot down!!! Don't be a jackass to your teammates!

Hopefully server admins will start to take notice and remove these morons from their servers.

Just another problem you run into when playing online. Besides your team not keeping all the points defended you have to deal with this kind of nonsense and it gets irritating very quick.

Some people have friends they like to fly with and can communicate better with, and know they'll do a better job for the team together than having some random guy-who might suck-jump in.

Case in point: sometimes me & a friend play BF2 in the same room. We can talk to each other and communicate far better than online, even if someone has VoIP. We both understand what one another are likely to do as pilot and gunner and help the team a lot because of it.

So we normally ask, very politely, if they'd mind getting out so we can fly as a pair. And 9 times out of 10, they do, and we thank them (and then thank them again be blowing the crap out of enemy armour/choppers/anything else we can see. ). :)

They do it not because you 'communicate better' but because you know they will get you alot of points, If you asked me i'd tell you no! If you wanted to be that serious join the army.

I play on Mashtuur 24/7 & if i'm playing as mec i go to the heli pad & if i jump in & the 'SPECIAL PILOT' is'nt there they will wait for someone to jump out, this usuallly leads to getting artied or killed by the bh, it's so annoying as you get 5 people telling you to jump out so this pilot who usually gets gold every round can fly, I usually end up getting t'kd!

The worse one ever is when you're happily in a heli mec/usmc & there pilot lands so someone can tk you so there 'heli squad' can fly.

if that blue dot guy really helps the chopper squad, then it's ok. but most ppl just get in the chopper and sit there getting free kill assists. they dont repair, they dont heal, they dont resupply, they dont even drop C4's. when all they are doing is to waste a valueable spot on the chopper, it really gets irritating.

I find it irritating when I go for the empty chopper, get gunner seat because some guy just spawned and I had ran out of sprint, only for him to jump out, kill me with the M95, and then flee with no gunner. Oh well, it's people like this who cause other people to play different games.

Another fun one is, without saying a word to you or asking you to get out, they take the helo up, jump out and by the time you realize it, you're heading into a mountain...

We have this happen all the time on our server all the time. It's not someone's right to tell you to hop out. If they ask politely can they fly with their bud/clan mate then I'm more than happy to oblige but I won't be told. Those that sit their or fly around and then jump out to kill the "unwanted" co-pilot get kicked and deservedly so. We never tell anyone to just hop out or use tactics to eject an unwanted co-pilot.

We have a policy of share and share alike, it really does work well and people respect you when if you have had a go flying a heli and you ask if they can fly and they say yes I make way for them to have a go. Guess what happens next? They return the favour, suprise, suprise

Its common decency that people seem to forget when they are in the online world. Either that or they never learnt to share as a child. Sharing is a two way street.

Very true, but noone wants to hear that.
When someone is polite enough to comply, we'll usually take turns gunning and piloting with the third guy if he wants, or just let him have the helo for good after we die / in the next round (whichever happens first).


Also, I think the OP should be glad they're just sitting on the pad instead of sticking him into the punish or similar, most pilots will have little qualms with doing "worse" things than sitting on the pad to get an enemy gunner out of their helo.

This is why I like the R2 server. But I think you cap out at 50 players. Can you bump it to 64? Maybe run an R3 and R4 server too?
