    Wagers on next patch, anyone?

Id like to make a wager to anyone whos willing that these things
will NOT be fixed in their next patch, EVEN THOUGH they are well
known, common, easy to fix issues with BF2 that have been discussed
    over and over and over...

    1. red tag bug.
    2. server browser lock ups, innacruate data, basically junk browser.
    3. switching the high scorer to the other team to auto balance..
(doesnt that kinda go against the word BALANCE ?)

to make things even sadder, from what I hear (correct me if Im wrong..)
they are going to CHANGE the player movement to thwart "bunny" hop ?
OOO MMM FFF GGG ... Its called jumping, I have no problem with it,
nor do I have a problem blasting people to shreads when they do it..
But yet, since some of the cry babies cant hit a moving target, apparently,
EA/DICE is going to change the player movement of the BF2 game AFTER
6 months of its release ??

That has got to be the dumbest, moronic thing I have ever seen a
game publisher do... well, besides releasing an unfinished product.

I would also like Ea to get a better account server process, but this
is less crucial I admit to gameplay... however, 60 seconds sometimes
to connect to and login to an account server seems just about the
lamest process I ever heard of.. Are they using old Tandys or something?
Is their account servers on dialup ? What gives..

    Any takers on my wagers?

p.s. Ive been warned about my negative comments, with a threat of
1 week ban.. so forgive me if I dont respond for a week... It seems
that this forum is against open discussion, even when ALL of the comments
I made are factual and true.. however, to this forum, and its moderators,
this forum does not allow negative remarks about Battlefield 2.. which imo,
is a shame, and the forum should rename itself to TOTALBF2onlyifitspositiveremarks.com.

If you dont like me, or disagree with my comments, fine, thats what a forum
is for... we can argue it out like adults.. no biggie, nothin personal here..
but this forum and its gung ho EA is GOD attitude is quite hilarious.. and no,
Im not the only one saying so.. have you checked out the other BF2
forums? Many agree... you guys should get a backbone if you cant deal with
    people who disagree with you..

so... if youre gonna ban me, go for it.. actually I could care less... last thing I
do is sit up late at night worrying about this censored forum.. If you wanna
'give it to me' in the thread here, go for it.. I got big shoulders.. I can hang
with the best of em in an argument..but to you guys, arguments are always
    BAD... not the case... learn.

None of those three will be fixed. EA knows baout the red name bug but can't figure out how it's caused or how to fix it. They do not know that their server browser is complete crap, however. And autobalance really sucks but they are probably not going to change it ever.

How exactly can you call the red name bug 'easy to fix' when they have openly said they have no idea what causes it and need community help?

I've never heard of them changing the movements. They make it so you cant shoot when jumping, not a huge loss unless you rely on it.

Re: Wagers on next patch, anyone?

i said this in that other post and i will copy and patse it here

No offense to the players that post here. But Ea probably does and that is why their new patch is basically just going to be a popularity patch. Only a few people out of the 1.5 million people that play dont like bunnyhopping. But it seems like alot more because the people who dont care..... dont complain about it 24/7. EA is basically just patching the things that people complain about. They have covered a few good issues such as the aa thing and a few others.
But the main problem is that they overlook the biggest problems
          1.red tag bug wasnt m,entioned.
          2. The parachute is a major mistake.
3.the tks that happen to a copliot if say you bomb an area and yoru bombs blow up the plane because you went to low. so you get a tk.
4.bunny hopping is something they should keep IMO (its just my opinion so dont go bals to the wall ovber it)
5.another slight problem it that sometimes(almost all the time actually) when you are aiming over a rail or over the side of a building with an AT rocket at a tank, once you shoot it it just nails the wall or rail and kills you.
6.the "hitbox" or whatever it is. The thing that registers a hit because alot of the times a knife kill doesnt do anything so you have to keep trying.
7.also the kickvote is rediculous because it takes to many people to make it happen.(to many people that never push page up no matter how bad the person is might i add.)
8.this is another of my opinions. But mines and claymores should not tk, but they also should blow up like they do if tk is off and an ally walks in front of it.
9.Airplanes up to a certain speed should not tk but rather just grab the person until it lifts into the air and than the person who was in front of the plane should just be dropped.
10.The whole bumping teamates with vehicles just bounces them off thing should be looked over again. Because the last patch did make it better but it also made it happen to enemies. Muliple times ive tried o run an enemy over and it just bumps him out of the way unharmed.
Thats all i can think of at the moment.
If anyone else has any opinions about those kinds of things than feel free to add.

those are some of my opinions.... and many others to obviously.

Re: Wagers on next patch, anyone?

actaully, the no shooting while jumping is a lot better/ realistic..have u every jumped and tried to fire an assault rifle, ur shot is prob gonna go straight up and prob chances of hitting someone or something is like .001%

also, bunny hopping makes it harder to get hit, so its sortof unfair, but this is one of the patches ive been looking most forward to...of all games ive played. its just adding/fixing so many things that u cant complain about anything else (i rarely see the red name tag issue, and its usually a hacker who switches his name tag so teammates that kill him = tk and teammates he kills = kill/poitns)
im also willing to buuy special forces just toget the AWP hehe cs pwnage

agreed, why would any1 ban u for making these remarks that should hav been noted a long time ago?

plus, EA need to fix all sort of gfx card problems. also the mouse dont move bug.

hmm, well Im not a programmer, but I would think that those who
made this game in all its HUGE MASSIVE complexity, whom found it
possible to put name tags with color that corresponds to their team
COULD, YES, FIND IT POSSIBLE to FIX THE BUG.

Another thing I failed to mention in my post above that I find just
funny as hell, in this bf2 community, is this..

We got tank shells that can put a direct hit on a chopper, even
in the cockpit area... and they fly off.... but yet we got crybabies
who make up terms for jumping 'bunny hopping' crying their eyes
out because they cant hit a moving target...and EA apparently is
going to change the whole game to satisfy them.... hahahahahahah..

o man, this game.......... its sadly funny.

EA is the Barney Fife of game publishers folks..

Ok. Bunny hoppers are people with 203s that jump constantly all around you firing like rambo and are five feet in the air killing you instantly.

I suspect that you are one too.

It is NOT realistic to make it unable to happen. I can take out one of the many guns I own, jump in the air like a moron and fire off as many rounds as I want. It can happen. But....as you said, the chances of hitting the target are extremely low. IMO, this is just one thing that peeves me with the patch. No, I do not bunny hop, no I don't jump around like a moron. So why do I still want to be able to shoot and jump? Because sometimes when I am jumping over a fense or something like that, I'd like to be able to start spraying led as soon as possible. They also went way too far by making it so nothing can be done while jumping, that means no med packs, no grenades, no nothing. Oh, but if you left click and then jump you will be able to throw and jump at the same time...woooo...

anyway...I honestly believe that a lot of the fixes of the new patch are to subdue the whiners. I didn't care really about anything that happened in the game. The only thing I wanted fixed was the red/blue bug, the AA, and as mentioned, when I stab a guy, I shouldn't have to stab him 3 more times before they die. I guess the one thing I do like is them getting rid of the "dolphin diving". I just found it annoying...and funny...when i saw people do this. bunny hoppers, pfff, easy kills. The other good thing with the patch is the GL fix. Kind of was a bit annoying when people would shoot it point blank, kill you, and walk away without a scratch. But besides those things...i'm not too happy with them messing with the accuracy on the rifles...yea they are not that accurate...but I do not want someone with a SAW to be very accurate! It's meant to spray lead...not pick off snipers. I really hope it's not very much more accurate...other wise get ready to see a lot of rambos out there.

So...I guess...I'm just kind of too the point where I want them to fix the bugs...and leave the game alone...I'm happy with the way it is...even with its faults....you just learn to live with them and find new tactics. Bunny hoppers are easy to kill cause their accuracy is crap. Dolphin divers, well get in a squad...lets see them try to take out 6 of us all shooting at them. Person GL's me at noob tube range (point blank), grab one yourself and hunt that sucker down for revenge. It's not that hard...but I can see that with the new patch, I'm going to have to sit down and almost relearn some things...I know a few of you are going to think that I exploit the crap the patch "fixes", well I don't. But think what you want, I liked the game how it is now (minus the bugs), and just wish they would leave it alone.

From what I have read and heard about the red tag bug I have come to a conclusion. That EA does not have a freaking clue why it is happening. They keep asking for specific details of what you did before you see the bug. They are still trouble shooting it. I doubt it will ever be fixed.

I KNOW that the game will still be incredibly inefficient, they won't do a damn thing that succesfully optimizes the engine. It already produces worse graphics than HL2 engine... with a lower framerate and a lower view distance...
