Pet hates

Ok, I've had BF2 for a wee while now. I enjoy it ok most of the time, although I'm a really bad loser, and I seem to be doing a lot of losing :hmm:

Anyway, I dont know how anyone else feels but I have a couple of pet hates which on occaision cause me to break things.

1. Artillery: Not a particular aspect of artillery, just artillery in general. Completely unneccesary, and ruins the game imho.

2. Bunnyhopping: Mainly because it takes the fun out of the game for me. What's the point in trying to hit someone who is jumping 3 metres into the air constantly. You might as well let them kill you.

Dice need to reduce the height that the character can jump to no more than about 2 feet off the ground, and jumping should have a bar like sprinting, except one jump makes the bar go down, and you can't jump again until it is full.

3. People who kill me. Please don't do it. It is unneccesary, and takes the fun out of the game for me. If you would all be so kind as to stand completely still for the duration of a game if you happen to see my name on a server I would be most grateful. Thank you.

Anyone else have a particular hates.

Don't worry, by patch 1.5, that's what BF2 will be nerfed down to due to the senseless complaints.

I kind of like the idea of not killing me adn standing still so I can kill you. Maybe for just half the game? Im old and slow and I dont see well.

I'm not exactly old, reasonably quick, but I just seem to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or is that the right place at the wrong time...? Who knows. I have like 1000 points but to be fair, for everytime I kill someone I die about 3 times. I spend more time on that damn spawn screen than actually playing the game.

And I smell a narrowminded comment. Go on and look up my vehicle stats, I use the name Jesse in game as well. My plane time by no means dominates my vehicle time.

If anything, I've been upset at the nerfs since the Blackhawk nerf, not because I wanted the points from using it, but enjoyed hunting the thing and killing it. The game is going further and further away from requiring any thought at all to play, which is terrible

Since EA is fixing/screwing so many things in the next patch, i hope they will do something about the spawn vulnerability where you're totally helpless the moment you spawn and a tank/apc whore can have a field day with you, especially if it's the last flag you're defending.

There should be a 3 sec invincibility time right after you spawn so you can have some time to get the hell away from the APC/tank/chopper whores.

I actually have a funny story about that...was playing on this server and this guy killed me 2 different times by doing that. I was a tad annoyed since I was playing legit by using something called a gun to shoot them, so I wrote up on the chat thing something like "is that all you can do to kill people?"

I get a responce of something like, "well show me something different." I tell him to use the gun, that's what it's for. He comes back again being a smart a** with "well show me how!"

So, about 3 seconds later, I shoot him in the head with my m24. God that was great

anyway...pet peeves...um, lol c4 chucking, people who TK for any reason, people who punish instantly when you accidently TK them even if it was their own fault, whiners (yea I know this could be considered whining but it relates to the topic at hand so nah! :p ), red/blue tag bug, and more. Mostly bugs in the game

I just realised something that has shocked and disturbed me. :hmm:

When I used to play Rogue Spear years and years ago I always took pity on the poor chump that finished at the bottom with like 1 kill from 10 rounds and 10 deaths.

I am that poor chump now. :cry:

Don't get out of shape dood, you will get better and have more fun as you learn more things. Look at my k/d ratio, it's awfull. Most of those deaths happened early on. When I reached 8,000 I was finally not getting owned as much, but I still do. I learnt that teamwork with strangers is the coolest aspect of this game, you should do more of it and you won't be in the wrong place all the time.

There's an honorary 1 month in which most players suck. After that I'm sure you'll be getting a lot better. When I started playin infantry I started off with a .3 now I'm up to 1.5
