unmodified servers.....only join

how come when i join a server it loads and says server only lets players with unmodified games to join... i do have the pach to...funny thing it only lets me play on servers with Wake Island.....HELP!

did you tamper with ur files in any way? i tried to replace the map loading music with teh bf1942 loading music, and it gave me that error when i tried to join maps.

it also happend again recently, when i hadnt done anything at all. you just reinstall and repatch it to fix it. :|:

it happens to me all the time, its really annoying, but I just restart the game and its fine, I dont feel like reinstalling the patch

just reinstall the patch, it happened to me a few times after a while i just saved it to a cd instead of keep downloading it.

This has only happened to me after i installed the 64 player SP maps so I could try to learn to fly jets (not that it helped!). I had to uninstall the 64 thingy before I could join servers without a problem.
