    Help CPU Temp Too High

Hello, now can someone please explain in simple terms whats wrong with my CPU temp, its running at 54c after game and before game 52c, i know this is too high as i have a second pc that is showing 29c , so whats wrong, i have a AMD Athlon 2800 . The fan that i bought for it is right for that cpu but we did fit it ourselfs, does anyone have a link that shows fixes or what to look for with overheating CPU. please only folk knowing about PC building should reply. thanks

Clean your fans and heatsinks, they normaly get quite dusty. Best way to do it is to use some compressed air.

Just so you know 52C isnt that hot my laptop runs at 56C/57C (CPU/GPU)

Take off the heatsink, gently clean the bottom of the heatsink and the top of the cpu, reinstall the heatsink, using a thin layer of artic-silver 5. You may also want to consider a better heatsink.

Don't worry about it. Your computer showing 29C is PROBABLY wrong. Body temp is 37C! AMD website says max safe temp is 70C, so don't worry unless you start getting up to 63-65C. 52-54C is NOT that hot. Here is the link (you'll have to cut and paste it.)
