Team points...?

okay, so probably a dumb question... but reading through the requirements for some ribbons it says things like "IAR: 50 team points".

Judging by the fact there's no green tick next to this, I'm assuming I still need to meet the criteria, however not sure how to gain "team points".

Are they just regular points gained within a round? If so, then I'm surprised that I've not made 50 points in one round, as a squad member.
Do I need to do other stuff to gain "team points"?

teampoints from revive, heal, ammo supply, cap defend, cap point, cap assist, kill assist is what you need :)

and 50 is not so difficult as medic on karkand

There the points that show when you get a kill assist, Heal, Revive, Flag capture etc. It's quite easy if you actually set to get them.

You need to get 50 team points in a round. These are not points from kills but points from revices and flag caps among other things.

Nice one. Cheers guys. I'm guessing those rounds of running around like a headless chicken as a medic in Karkand I couldn't have been in a squad.

You don't need to be in a squad to get team points....do you?

hmmm. not sure. maybe not then. Maybe I'm just particularly bad at it

It would certainly help to be in a squad that is working together. That way if you are support for example; it is alot easier to keeping getting ammo points as you will always be doling ammo out to the rest of your squad.

You do not have to be in a squad to get team pts.

Here are some of the instances that I can think of off the top of my head that give team pts.

Neutral Flag
Cap Flag
Defend Flag
Ammo Giving
Health Giving
Revive
Repair
Blow up enemy asset
Driver ability pt
Driver assist kill

You do NOT get them for:
following a commander or SL orders
giving orders
commanding
being in a squad
being a squad leader
