I love ironsighting. I loved what Call of Duty did this year with their newest COD game, the ironsighting makes it seem so much more realistic as opposed to in CS when you can't bring a damned AK up to your eye.

you need to use the acuracy of the pistols, they are acurate so aim for the head, then the enemy is down very fast with those pistols .

there is also a very little recoil . Pistols aren't bad in my opinion

Sometimes it takes a clip and a half to kill a guy even though I'm hitting him with every bullet. Sometimes it takes 5 bullets. Just depends on where you hit him and how far away you are.

I always play as medic and get lots of kills with the pistol. I find it accurate and powerful. Sorry :hmm:

try silenced pistol as you get a feeling that you're doing better and you'll somehow click faster...

It's just you. The silenced pistol is one of my favorite weapons ever.
Another tip is not to aim for the heart, but the head.
Going for the head with the silenced pistol, you can often let them suck down nine millimetres of cold, hard lead before they even know what happened.

I often find myself getting frustrated with fact than an enemy troop, armoured or not, can absorb his own bodywheight in 9mm lead before dying.

Other than that, I find it very powerful and useful. Still wish they'd make some pistol unlocks though :P

Pistols are really great back-up weapon. It's powerful enough to finish the job if you run out of ammo with your primary weapon.

I always use it whenever I'm AT using the DAO and I'm quite far from the enemy.

I cannot stand knowing that no matter how good of a shot I am, I will ALWAYS die when someone with a rifle is reloading and I continually shoot him, with the damage reticle just lighting up non-stop, and then he takes two shots and I'm done for. Please, tell me I'm not the only one.

I LOVE the Pistols, when I snipe i shoot with the M24 then use the pistol.

The Marine pistol is the M92, which is a 9mm. In real life, most soldiers complain that the round is too weak to bring down enemies even without armor. The game reflects this realistically.

The Chinese and MEC pistols are copies of the Makarov and the Sig. They are also small caliber guns.

The most effective handgun for combat is the 45 caliber pistol. But, you do not see it in the game. Examples: Colt 1911, Sig P220, H&K Socom MK23

Even then, the only available gun out there capable of defeting armor is the FN Five-SeveN which shoots a scaled down version of th 5.56mm Nato round.

Also, according to the Geneva conventions, no gun can be loaded with hollow point rounds.... so even less power for handguns. The only ball projectile effectrive enough to stop someone is the 45 caliber.

Would be pretty cool if when you got your Expert Pistol you got some kind of Pistol unlock (not sure how it would work, though). After getting the badge you get the option of picking a .45 or maybe even a Desert Eagle .50. Something with a little more power for the consummate pistol user.

I think that you should have the choice between a .357 Magnum or the Old West Style Six-Shooter
