Does everybody keep getting that message? I get it right when I enter the server, then it goes away, then i play for 5 more minutes then it says it again, then i get disconnected from the server and it says that i have lost my connection to the server

Yes you need to update punkbuster manually. http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

PBsetup.exe is the way to do it.
http://websec.evenbalance.com/downlo...ws/pbsetup.exe (right click save target) put this in its own folder and run it. Make sure it finds the correct location of BF2 and click Check for updates. Check and see if it updated, if it did you know your PB was out of date.

This is the most common cause of connection problem warnings. Other than that its a problem with your ISP.

In my expereicne it is the server host that is having a problem with their server. Usually, not always, more than half the people in a server will get the message at the same time. Try some different servers hosted by different providers.

Yeah that can also be the problem and can stem back to the server you play on not having enough bandwidth for the player sizes or they are having issues themselves. It sounded like he was having the issue on all servers though.

I also see people come here and complain about this and they say "oh i have 10mbps connection" well, your bandwidth doesn't matter, what matters is your upload speed. Check your upload speed, and i bet it's not over 120kbps, then you have a problem.

My friend who once had a DSL connection with 384 kbps download, 128kbps upload switched to a cable, which is 5 mbps download, 50kbps upload, now he keeps disconnecting from the server, having all kinds of problems.

Don't buy that 10 mb or 5 mb or 3 mb bandwidth stuff, doesn't matter at all. Of course it matters, but it matters as much as upload speed, as long as your download speed is over 150kbps, it really doesnt matter whether its 200 kbps or 200 mbps, you won't get a difference if your upload is the same.

Never fly a full Black Hawk if you have this problem (first hand experience here lol). I fixed mine by opening the required ports through my router.
