Is the booster pack going to be able to run alongside BF2 Vanilla ONLY ?
Or can it run alongside SF as well ?

its a boosterpack fore BATTLEFIELD 2. it would work wit bf2, and SF as well since SF is just xpack.

Just as the vanilla maps are not available on a server running in SF mode (if you like) the new maps will not either. The Server will have to be in vanilla mode to run the new content. At least that is how it appears at the moment.

i just assumed that it will be just like SF in that u will have to run a SF server to play that content where as u would have to run euro forces server to play it. i dont think the maps and content will be integrated into VBF2.

Yes they will, according to the community update:

The booster packs will increase the content of the base game and thereby may be run on a server in regular rotation with the original maps.

Which means if you don't have the booster packs you'll be kicked from the server once a booster map comes into rotation.

It'll be just like it was with BF42 RtR and SW - if you don't have the pack, you'll be kicked when it comes up in the rotation.

Battlefield 2: Armored Fury™, releasing March 28th, will focus on large mechanised battles in the American heartland.

Battlefield 2: Armored Fury will add three new maps, all set in the rural heartland of America where the US forces defend their homeland from Chinese and MEC forces. This Booster Pack will also introduce two new vehicle classes: Attack Jets with the ability to use rocket pods and cluster bombs, and agile Scout Choppers which will reveal nearby enemies.
