We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Not a good PC?!?!?! It's excellent! I soooooo wish I had one like yours, so you should be thankful for what you got and that you don't have one like mine! lol (I play everything on low except lighting, effects and Geomatry:cry: )
I started out with a shocker of a PC, 1.6ghz P4 , 256mb Ram and a 32mb graphics card, so I decided to get a Job and then bought this PC :)
LoMac is a GREAT game. It has some issues..but man...so realistic.
the only thign that sucks about it is the online play. That community is sad. Most of those guys are realism freaks.
On the forums....they are OK, but in game. Oh man!
I.E. There was this update which allowed people to see who shot them down, and who they shot down. 99% of servers had that taken OFF...because "it's not realistic". COME ON! It doesen't effect the combat in any way, until it's all over. So you'll get shot down, and you will have no idea who did it...or youwill shoot someone, and won't know who.
There is a way to find out thorugh tghe kill list, but it's a pain.
And yea, the LOMAC community sure do strive for realism, but what do you expect. They want those tags off for immersion. IMHO, I would like to have them on, just like you, as it increases the competitiveness of knowing who you took down and vice-versa.

Graphically, for a 3500 buck comp alone, those shots look horrible. He needs to turn up the AA, AF, and max everything out! Eesh!

yeah thats one of his low parts of his computer the rest is very nice. i think 3 gigs ram, and a very very nice intel cpu just to note. and i didnt mess with the options too much left it to default
Yeah man but wtf! I mean that message doesen't appear UNTIL the fight is over. Come on it's a game for pete's sake!

Yup, totally agreed. Of course, I HATE having Tags ON the jets, as it takes away the point of learning to master the radar, and BVR tactics, but indeed, having those Kill messages would do no harm. There are a few servers with those on...just a matter of hopping on at the right time.
What ingame name do you use for LOMAC, and do you have the FC expansion yet? Hope its a yes! :p
I bought FC, played once with a guy that talked me into getting it. Haven't played since.

I'm sick of some aspects of the game. I understand people want REALISM, but how doe sthat balance out against FUN and TIME.
I spawn on parking area....takes about 2 minutes or even more sometimes to get on runway. I take off. I get in air, and takes another 3-5 minutes before I can engage or get ingaged. Sometimes it'll take forever to even see anyone. The area is so large that everyone is flanking and what not..few meet at WP 1 or Wp 2 wehre fights are supposed to occour.
I want it a little more fast paced man. Make me sapwn in air, engines running....2-3 minutes later I should be getting some contacts.
With the realism freaks I can waste almost half my time trying to find people, including taxying and taking off and flying around. just not fun with those freaks.
If you want to play sometime, let me know...but only if you know a FUN server. I just upgraded from 512 RAM to 2 gigs...so the agem should run a bit better as well.
When I play, its mostly Single Player. I enjoy setting up my own missions to my style and playing campaigns and such. Online, the dedicated 169th servers, and such, are just yea, pretty much exactly like you said.
There used to be alot of servers filled with guys like us though. Where you would spawn in the air and be right in the middle of the dogfight, Close range cobra-galore!
Gunzo servers are just as awesome, and there ARE alot of those up nowadays. Aerobatic, fun, refueling, carrier ops, ect ect servers are always around...just not really full.
yeah...used to enjoy doing aerobatics and carrier landings. Could never get refuel..tried once.....got close..was connected for about 1 second and then broke.
We got 4 of us on a carrier once..took some SS. Was pretty cool.
Did some formation flying, hard stuff though. I think leading is easiest. lol..just go straight.
Have you seen some of the movies soe guys made? Oh man. There was a french team thatmade an unbelievable one.
If you can host a server, let me know. I'd love to do that Co_op stuff..be on TS and just have fun with jets.
Could you maybe post your configuration to achieve such great visual quality? I have everything cranked to high in-game and set AA to 8x and Anisotropic Filtering to 16x in the Nvidia control panel, but am still not getting anything that looks as good as your screenshots.
