Re: difference Red and Green
Red is BF2 itself. Green is the special forces expansion which you need the red one to play. -

Re: difference Red and Green
If you like BF2, then I would say it's a must own. New weapons, new maps, night maps, and features such as flashbangs, ziplines, and grappling hooks. More maps geared toward infantry. Since getting Special Forces I haven't gone back to regular BF2. So IMHO, Special Forces is definitely worth the purchase.Comment

Do you know how to read? Seriously? It says special forces right on the front of the box. Reading the front and back of both boxes would have answered your question without wasting forum space, seriously.Originally posted by reaperscwhats the difference between the Red Battlefield2 game and the Green one?Comment

Give him a break. He's obviously new to the BF2 community and just wanted to make sure he got the right one. He was polite in asking which was which and appreciated the help, the least we could do is steer him in the right direction.Comment

I don't mean to be a jerk, but it's the cold hard truth. All the information he wants is right there on both boxes.Originally posted by greekgod36Give him a break. lol i know the question is pretty n00bish, probably he's not just new to BF2, and also new to the whole gaming community.
so, to reapersc, if u see a game has "expansion pack" in its name, that means it's an extended version of some game, u usually need the original version of that specific game to play the expansion pack.
by reading the title, i never thought the thread would be about this.Comment
