    Idea to end cheating

Many good games in the past have seen its popularity greatly decrease due to cheating and eventually no one plays anymore. This would be a great shame in the case of BF2 and especially for the future of BF2. The consequence of such leads to financial distress for the developers and distributors and the hobby inadvertently suffers from it (Lack of motivation to inject more money in development). It’s a business after all.

    Imagine this:
    1. One screen shot of every player is taken per round (when enemies are in sight).
    2. At the end of the game, and on a random basis, every member of the opposing team has the responsibility to review another (1) player's screenshot. (one on one, at random)
    3. If a player reviewing a screenshot sees cheating (overlays, MSX, etc) then he/she presses a "suspected cheater" button. All information including the screenshot is then sent to EA.

This is the core of the idea, of course many thing have to be considered such as players pressing the "suspected cheater" button for the wrong reasons. To resolve this maybe a player could be limited on the number of submittals or simply work on a strike basis (3 wrong submittals and you're out) could even have yourself banned for trying to discredit legit players after 3 tries which would up the seriousness of pressing such a button. Of course players would have to be instructed on what to look out for.

    What do you think?

The idea is great, but how to implement it is the difficult task. Plus you would have to know what a cheat was. Some could just gang up on a good player to get rid of them. Ea should fix the bugs to prevent cheats, such as more spawing points away from the enemy if you were killed by the flag.

            1. its for EA to implement, and it shouldn't be a big deal. (I'm a developer myself)
            2. People couldn't gang up on a good player, since as I wrote you could have yourself banned for submitting wrongfully.

I agree that it could for a fraction of a second slow you down (while the screenshot is being taken and sent, but no different that what they are doing with PunkBusted).

The whole idea is that your playing is not hidden anymore (like playing a LAN match where someone can look over your shoulder).

Would the consequence be that cheaters just couldn't cheat anymore? For visual hacks that is.
