Just read through some threads in the forums using the search function..you'll find some VERY heated debates

You'll see some people claiming to be the 'best' pilots using a mouse.

I never ever touched a plane or chopper yet cause I'm really sure I'm gonna crash with my mouse....

did wuite well in a plane before, I just expected to need a joystick but im not sure.

Use your keyboard to fly if you can't fly with mouse or havn't got a joystick.

Personaly I use the keyborad becasue I mastered it in BFV. But Ive never tryed flying with joystick and I suck flying with the mouse.

It's pretty decent, probably better for helo than a plane but stil OK. You obviously can't do as tight turns and dives with a mouse but as long as you realize that and don't have an ace on your tail you should be OK.

I tried joystick a while back but I was not able to calibrate it. I know that with mouse helos pull to the right (or is it left?) but it's not that hard to control but a plane flies straight. It kept turning for me all the time when I was using joystick. I even bought a new one to make sure my old isn't busted but it was the same. Anyone has any ideas about it? Is it possible to calibrate joystick for plane so it flies straight in center position?

I fly both heli and jet with mouse an keyboard,

Mouse is easier to fly heli but stick for jet imo.

Best mouse/keybaord flyer is rZ' Ally from Indolentia// which is a top clan

I can fly OK with keyboard and mouse. Enough to get myself a K-D ratio of almost 3:1 in jets. My biggest problem is coming up against a better pilot in a J-10 - then I'm fairly screwed. If I'm in a J-10, then usually only an accident or a really good enemy pilot will take me out the skies.

You have to take some time fine tuning your pitch and yaw sensitivity settings to suit your mouse. And remember, clever use of the afterburner is key to staying alive.

couldnt imagine flying a heli without a mouse and keyboard; Manoeuvring just seems so natural. Flying planes ill probably benefit from a joystick but using a keyboard and mouse can still dominate a 64player server and get 30 - 1 odd k:d ratios

I fly with the mouse and it is great. It takes some practice. The best thing to do is join wake island while it waiting for more players and practice. I did it and by the time the game started I could fly around but landing was another issue.

Also you can adjust your settings in the BFHQ section.

i definatley find a mouse easier for the heli and im not too great with either flying the jet :p

i can see how you would fly a jet better with a joystick tho because it allows you to do a lot more fancy moves in a way its harder but of course once you master it a joystick pilot of the same skill will own a mouse pilot.

I used to fly with mouse and I sucked ass so I read on these forums thta joystick is better. So I bought one and couldn't caliberate it so I jsut went back to mosue and practised with it. Now I get like 30-50 kills for every death and I can even stay on peoples tails and kills them some times.
