Question about server list

Just had a spare hour from work so I thought I would pop in to the PC room next door for a blast of BF2SF.

When I went to choose a server I was really surprised as all the servers could select from were green, not one red one?!?! On my home computer most are red. Why would this be?

The ping of the servers was also alot lower here at the PC room but I imagine that is because they will have somekind of supper fast connection.

Red means that you can't connect because you aren't running the same version as the server.

Can you connect to the same server from both PC's ?

No, you missed the point of my poorly worded thread.:p


The only serevers available where the "green 2 icon" that represents BF2SF!

As in, normally when I log in from home the server list has both red and green symbles of the number 2. Red for BF2. Green for BF2SF.

When I tried in the pc room all servers where GREEN not one BF2 virgin server in the list.

Why would that be?

Maybe you had the "Same Mod" filter checked and didn't realize it?

Yep that must as been it as it was a Korean version of the game and it looked really confusing to me.

Anyway I changed my home version to same mod only and I only get the green bf2 log now but I get only about 100 servers once the search has finished? Sholdn't this be more.

I don't think the distace of servers is an issue as I was able to see servers from as far away as the UK.?

It depends on what filters you have set, of course, but in general, I only get around 250 servers max, and then when I filter it even more to show only those whose ping is <100, the number drops down to about 50. :|: (Compare this to the 1200/300(<100ping) servers I get for vBF2 [with the same filters].)

Luckily for me, I only bought SF to stay competitive in vBF2 (via the new unlocks) and not for actually playing. :)
