I had one guy tell me I was bunny hopping because I jumped over a small ledge to avoid getting shot by his GP-30. He said, "Yea, just keep bunny hopping". I mean, a single jump is pretty f**king far from bunny-hopping. I understand the point that x0pht and rombaft are both making. There are tricks to getting things done, that is not exploitation in my mind.
The people that cry all the time about people stat padding, noob toobs, bunny hopping, dolphin diving, etc are the people that draw away from the real technical problems with this game and frankly make me sick. These people cry so hard about getting owned that the real problems are still unfixed, yet god forbid I jump and fire my weapon at someone and actually kill them. Oh hell no, the world is going to end. Yet crashing to desktop is completely accceptable in their books...Wanna talk pathetic? That is it right there.

yes it is, but personally I dont mind ppl statspadding a bit for just badges or ribbons.

the only statspadders in my eyes are those who pad 700 pts or even thousands of pts IAR for their Global scores and ranks.

Based on the community - Padding can be summarised in various ways.

Padding type A) - Can be descirbed as getting cheap and or easy kills, doing things the easy way eg. Spawn killing, Medic Whoring, Ammo tossing, Tank whoring / camping, C4 tossing ect.

Padding type B) - Intentionally finding members of the other team and killing them and reviving them in order for both parties to receive points.

Padding type C) - Similar to A but doing it in a viable way eg. Making everyone throw grenades so you ressuply them, injuring people on purpose eg. With Pistol and then throwing medic packs, running over people with cars and jumping out before you hit them, only to revive them.

In the end we could debate about this all day, Im my opinion we all have definitons of what we called Padding, I personally dislike Type B and I consider it a serious offence, other types were implemented into the game and perfectly legal, you're are allowed to throw ammo packs and medic packs, if you dislike like what other people are doing, you can't change that, ammo and med packs were implented you could be healed and ressuplied, if someone does this a lot, they are merely playing that class. Either way, to sum this thread up, we all have differen't ways of what we called Padding. That's all. Quit bitching. Why get so worked up and mad about a few numbers, on an account, on a game, on your computer. Why play for points ? Sure, gettings points is fun, to know your winning but it's more fun playing the game as you would without having to check what your points are.. Just enjoy the game.

I don't care about stat padding. You can see who does it and they are not hurting anyone else's game play.. Anyone who feels their game is ruined by stat padders might want to reevaluate their priorities. IMO of course...

Now the use of trainers and cheats are something to complain about, because they are being used to take an advantage over another person in the game. And reduce the pleasure of a fair gaming experience for all players. Lacks sportsmanship...


I agree that alot of stat padding accusations have gotten a little out of hand; with people saying that spamming med and ammo bags are stat padding. Hell, don't pick up their bag then. LOL

If we want to reallt get nit-picky on stat padding then, driving armor, heli's or jets can be considered stat padding. You can change kits and drive or fly a vehicle and gain awards for that kit easier than if you were pounding teh ground like the majority of players...

But it doesn't matter because, stats don't matter...

Dice/EA is at fault for the whole stat padding issuing in my opinion. They can code ways to cut down certain kinds of padding. They could have also thought about how to track stats better too. For example: If your are a sniper kit and flying in a plane and kill 50 people in a round. Those kills should be counted on an aviator kit.

In addition, keeping detailed stats to begin with will entice people to stat pad, badge pad, and change the way they play. The only way stats can truly reflect how "good" of a player you are is by you not knowing they are being tracked. As soon as you know, it changes the way you play.

My buddies and I compare stats from time to time. We do this because we play in the same squad a lot and thus know how we actually play the game. Our stats are fairly true reflections of how we would play the game if there were no stats.

No, its not, unlocking all guns will result in EA removing your server from the browser.

As far as I'm aware "anything" goes on unranked servers including unlocking all the guns for all players.

What you were talking about only applied to the demo version only!

The [TG] server ran with all unlocks for at least a month. They removed the unlocks though because they did not like everyone having a flash bang. Their server is still listed in the master server list the last time I checked.
