Padding ? Yes or No ?

You need to be on IRON GATOR in the MEC chopper, there it's easy to get the 20 kills and the 10 (or whatever) driver kills, for the special ability point it's also very easy, when you see that your gunner is a medic, just fly a bit out of the map, after some time both your health starts to drop, then fly back in the map, the gunner will heal you, he gets heal point, you get special driver ability point , voila, there is your ribon
To me thats padding, not playing the game as it's meant to be played while trying for an award.
    Apparently I have serious issues.

    Opinions please.

Amazing.. someone explaining how to use an exploit in the game in an effort to get a badge without clearly doing ANYTHING to earn it. Pathetic.

yes it is, but personally I dont mind ppl statspadding a bit for just badges or ribbons.

the only statspadders in my eyes are those who pad 700 pts or even thousands of pts IAR for their Global scores and ranks.

I think its a pretty nifty trick actually. he actually has to play the game to get the 20 driver ability and 10 kills though - the medic trick is just the icing on the cake really, and getting 1 point the get a ribbon is hardly stat-padding. Its not as if they are sitting around at the edge of the map with guys on different teams killing/reviving each other, is it?

              Yes, it padding.
              No, I don't really care.

I don't pad because I like to earn my points doing whatever it is I like doing in-game. I do get a giggle outta seeing padders get their accounts reset.

Speaking of which, check out this amusing little vid-clip:
              http://files.filefront.com/****ing+t.../fileinfo.html
This is another case of self ownage by desidedly stupid padders. They shot the vid and posted it themselves!
Of cource it's since been sent to EA.

Re: Padding ? Yes or No ?

                Is this padding ??

                It's one freaking point !!

You still have to fly the chopper, kill the enemy, and fly nicely for your gunner so he can kill to .

It's just a trick to get that ribon, if you look up in the tips and tricks forum here , wll, for about every ribon, badge, medal, .... there are tricks, some more wurse then the other.

And if this is padding then what is ...
                - reviving some guy who is going to be shot again
                - constantly trowing medic bags all over the map
                - constantly trowing ammo bags all over the map
                - constantly destroying commander assets
                - repairing commander assets the whole time
                - beeing commander to much
                and so much more....

my excuse I didn't folow your rules of good behavior, I will never do it again (have the ribon anyway) , I won't do anything anymore but just shoot, run around, be the perfect BF2 player bla bla bla , jesus christ, whats next, beeing blamed for playing BF2 without fresh underwear ??

That's a very old vid back when you were allowed to adjust the tickets before they were hard coded into the game.

I have to agree it is padding. In that, that is not the intended way to get the badge.

Just like driving a vodnik half way into the water and constantly repairing it to get expert repair.

They are not how it was intended to be done to get a badge/ribbon.

I also don't care but some certainly will who do it the right way.

I must get a mate on the other side and get that knife badge, c4 badge and anything else.

if u stop right away when u get the badges. however it's a bit different than getting repair pts/healing pts. cuz all u get for an expert repair badge or expert healing badge is 25 pts, and thats it. u get alot of pts by knife a person 18 times or blow up someone 37 times. but it's still not as many as some intentional statspadders who do it for ranks.

but all in all, im NOT saying it's legit. however, i dont mind or care if i see ppl doing that.
