    Battlefield Terms And Definitions

So, I a lot of times I end up clueless about what some people are talkng about due to the use of so many terms, abbreviations, etc. So I'm thinking if there is a topic with definitions to all of the terms used on this forum, it would make it a whole lot easier on the new members to understand other's posts and conversation. So basically reply and add the terms that you know of and I will update this topic whenever I come on the forum. Would be nice to have this stickied too. So I'll start off with a few:

    BATTLEFIELD SLANG

    AA - Anti Air/Anti-Aliasing
AA - When used on the forum also sometimes refers to the online game America's Army
AF - Anisoptropic Filtering (property of being directionally dependant)
Arty - Short form of artillery.
    AT - Anti Tank
Base Rape - Attacking an enemy base (usually an uncappable one) unrelentingly.
    BF - Battlefield
BH - Blackhawk (USA transport helicopter)
Camper - A player who stays in a location where he is hardly noticable in order to rack up kills
CAP - Combat Air Patrol. Basicly focusing air forces over a particular part of the map
Cap - Refers to capturing a flag
Clock Positions: Stating "Tank 3 o'clock" means "Tank 90degrees to your right" or "Sniper 11 o'clock" means "Sniper ahead and little to the left" Think of the clock as directions. Must make these references in relation to the person to whom you are speaking.
    Core Game - See "Vanilla"
    CQB - Close-Quarters Battle
CQC - Close-Quarters Combat (at very short ranges)
Bunny Hopper - An individual who repeatedly jumps in the upright position while in combat with another player
DC - Desert Combat (Battlefield 1942 mod which inspired BF2)
Dolphin Diver - An individual who engages prone (laying face down) directly after hitting jump, thus giving the effect of someone in prone hopping around. Used during combat.
    FF - Friendly Fire
    FH - Forgotten Hope mod
    GG - Good game
    GL - Grenade Launcher
    Helo - Short for helicopter/chopper
Jump Throw - Increasing the distance which you can throw an object by sprinting and jumping before throwing it. Version 1.2 will make it impossible to shoot in mid-air, making jump throwing impossible for most objects. The clear exceptions are thrown grenades since you initiate ("shoot") the grenade toss before sprinting or jumping.
Lame4 - Weapon of choice (usually C4) for bunny hopping in special forces. Usually will be used to suicide and team kill two people as long as one enemy dies too.
Lone Wolf - An individual who plays alone and does not cooperate with others.
    MEC - Middle Eastern Coalition
N00b Cannon - An Anti Tank rocket used to kill infantry at close range.
    N00b Tube - Grenade Launcher
N00b Tuber: One who uses the Grenade Launcher excessively to kill his/her opponent
PLA - People's Liberation Army (of China)
SD - Supply drop, as in "I need SD here!!"
SF - Battlefield 2 Special Forces
Sky Cow - Slang for the Mi-17 and Z-8 (MEC and PLA transport helicopters), based on their relative weakness compared to the blackhawk
Spawn camper - A player who racks up kills by attacking a spawn point with no intention of capturing it
Stat Padder Someone who cheats in one way or another to achieve higher game stats.
    TK - Team Kill
    TW - Team wound
    UAV - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
USMC - United States Marine Corps
Vanilla - Original Battlefield 2 without any expansions or mods
Whore - Someone who always uses the same strategy to kill his/her enemies. Usually refered to someone who refuses to attempt to learn any other skills, and simply plays the one Vehicle/Kit that they are good at. IE: Tank Whore

Whore Someone who always uses the Same strategy to kill his/her enemies. Usually refered to someone who refuses to attempt to learn any other skills, and simply plays the one Vehicle/Kit that they are good at. Whores usually have an inflated sense of self worth, and often believe they are better then everyone else because they can rack up 50 kills in a round while in a vehicle, but cant hit a stationary target with the noobtoob.

              Whiner: Every player except you.

Arty Inc!: Something your commander says for no apparent reason before you die.

OMG U HACK!: You are doing very well

Noob!: You are not doing well.

Armor Whore!: Most commonly screamed by people who have a crippling fear of playing the AT, Engineer, or Special Forces classes.

VOIP Only: This squad is empty.

Squad Leader: The person responsible for ignoring commander orders while incessantly demanding supply drops.

Squad Member: Unknown at this point. Everyone only wants to be Squad Leader

Lone Wolf: People who don't know what happens when they click "Join Squad" or "Start Squad". Most commonly seen spamming chat for supply drops or repair requests.

Red Skull & Crossbones: Immediately investigate until you are TK'ed. Don't forgive. Clearly those were placed there by a malicious teammate conspiring to oppress you.

              Special Forces: Spawn camping ___holes.
Sniper: Not a team player, even though he's saved you from being knifed 3 times already, and set up a network of claymores defending the spawn point you refuse to defend
Engineer: The guy who was fixing your tank, before you backed over him
Assault: A class sometimes seen in the accompaniment of a "Noob Toob". Unconfirmed reports that this class sometimes carries the G3.
Support: Lazy gunners who like to lay down in hallways and litter.
Medic: Guys that leave little Red Cross packets all over. Sometimes seen attempting to defibrulate stairs. Special knowledge of when to resurrect you when you least want to be resurrected.
Anti-Tank: The guys carrying large poster tubes on their shoulders. Often mistaken for snipers when they shoot a guy on a rooftop from several blocks away. Rarified sightings claim to have several of these working together and making mincemeat out of armor and hovering blackhawks. No more than 2 are ever allowed on the same team, or else all life as you know it stops instantaneously and every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light.

could go on and on with abbrevs for other games and BF2 mods frequently mentioned on the forum
                BH: Blackhawk (USA transport helicopter)

Those are good points of view but i dont see how it would clarify anything...

This is so true. It seems medics only revive me when there are tons of ennemies around only to get me killed a second time.
