Crew Specialist Ribbon: How to get it?

Its really been pi$$ing me off, trying to get this.
Wot map should I try it on???

I've been trying on Ghost Town and I cant seem to get it. No one seems to understand. I set up a squad called AIR RIBBON. Im a medic in the pliot seat, I ask for an ammo man and a bunch of c4 throwers in the blackhawk and it still dont happen. Its been driving me mad.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also: does the 10 kills have to be in a chopper or can I get them on foot?

i think you can get the 10 kills any way and ghost town is the map iv been sooooooooo close only needing like 5 kills.is doing my head in as well

Is Modders 64 player 24/7 Ghost Town server the one to do it on?

I posted the trick in tips in trick for this ribon, it's very easy.

You need to be on IRON GATOR in the MEC chopper, there it's easy to get the 20 kills and the 10 (or whatever) driver kills, for the special ability point it's also very easy, when you see that your gunner is a medic, just fly a bit out of the map, after some time both your health starts to drop, then fly back in the map, the gunner will heal you, he gets heal point, you get special driver ability point , voila, there is your ribon

Someone tried that when i was medic n gunner, he entered no fly zone, I exited chopper.

you have serious isues pal, and you probably jumped out because you didn;t want someone to get something you want yourself

Rombaft. You stat pad is bad, wrong and uncalled for. The special ability point is not a problem at all. The problem is getting kills in a MEC transport chopper.
I tryed the ship map with the chopper and had no luck at all, mind you I wasnt the pliot and no matter how much I typed it in chat, he didnt fly over the open flags for me to c4 toss. ....bloody ****ers LOL

Well, here is some news for you my friend, the upcomming patch (won't be long) is going to make trowing C4 out of mec chopper impossible, big laugh in your face right now

don't know how they are going to do it, but it is going to be in the next patch.

And getting a special ability point is indeed very easy, but this isn't the point, you want the crew ribon and that needs a combination of kills, driver kills and special ability point.

And the true funny aspect is, when you kill from out of the transport chopper, you can't ever get the crew service ribon , for getting this ribon you need to be the driver/pilot as a pilot you need to kill and the crew in your chopper needs to kill and give you the special ability point.

Why flame ?? because you find my trick lame, but actualy you do the lamest thing (trowing c4 out of chopper) , it's even so lame they prevent it with the next patch , and my trick doesn't hurt one other bf2 player , but your C4 trowing is hurting lots of other players down there, wich makes it lame

Your damn right I find your trick lame. Mainly cos you don't need to do it. but more so, cos you are so quick to use a trick/exploit. After reading another thread on 'badgepadding', [which is why you got my little statpadding rant], it makes me think if you done the same with some of your other badges. Apart from that, I fully respect you. :P

Can you also tell me why c4 throwing out of the MEC chopper is seen as bad? - Do you really think that the guns on it are usable?? The c4 throwing to take out the blackhawk is totally acceptable in my eyes, not that Ive done it. Ive seen it done and hope to learn that skill soon.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it don't matter if a guy uses the gun on the MEC chopper or uses his own gun, c4 etc.. in the chopper; it still counts as a driver assist kill, right?

ain't going to start all over about the padding or not.

when you are not driving/flying the vehicle, they can kill as much as you want, you don't get driver kill assists , but regular kill assists

I got it on the map with the hanger (Iron Gator, is it?). Me, as pilot, and the co-pilot where howering around the big "jet-elevator", picking off targets as they came passing by :)
I wasn't even aware of the requirements for that ribbon, so I was surprised when I got it. Haven't play SF for several month now, maybe time to dust off that ol' F2000...
