I personally have 45 hours with the AT kit. I use the DAO-12 extensively, rely on it to defend myself, and still feel guilty getting so many kills with it.:p

Well you shouldn't. It takes skill to manage range, control its recoil, and be frugal with ammo. It's a little easier to be decent with it out of the gate, but it takes the hands of a master to be amazing.

Its funny how people put noob in front of something to try and make it look amateurish and lame. Like.....well why dont you go grab the noob g36C and go crazy! Last time I checked, it does take some skill to shoot ANY gun. Yes....even the "noob" tube...That's right I said it :evil:

I wouldnt play with DAO all round, but when a tank rolls into your base and you spawn as AT, its good to know you wont be spawning just to kamakazi the tank.

And since I often survive after killing the tank, the gun is extremly powerful, I never play it as a main, but when Im using it, its just as useful as the G36C

G3 on the other hand is not worth it... G36C can do everything it can do (except the smoke gernade) and better. Same range, better accuracy, bigger clip, and a C4. I unlocked the G3 first and I never used it, IMO the G3 is useless as long as the G36C exists.

dao 12 i wanted a shotgun and i was tempted with that or the jackhammer in the end i went with dao becuase at least the engi has a pump action and all AT has is a crap smg. IT OWNS you get close BAM BAm dead as long as you reload frewuently (ie dont wait to reload after all 12 of your bullest are gone) nothing can stop you, not even a tank (sorry for the bad joke)

the G3's only weakness is the poor accuracy - after the patch, if its even as accurate as an AK47 it will rape everything in sight. I like that gun a lot as it is, but its best used on single shot at range. Up close, get an AT guy to go round the corner first, which is where you will come in if you unlock the DOA. 2 different styles - choose the one you enjoy most, but don't mix the two lol :)

Not even a choice: just look at the improvement you get w/either one vs. the stock you'd be replacing it with. DAO wins that battle hands down, cuz the MP5's bloody worthless...

DAO here too. The first time you single handedly take out an entire squad at once will make you fall in love. Just make sure you're pretty good with a pistol at medium range because that can save your butt.

G3 is the best looking gun in the game and one I have never got bored of. Its completely crazy and it sounds so good when fired.

DAO-12 is good and all but WAY too many people use it (it has toned down abit now) and after all no jump shooting in the patch. So you will get owned from distances if you arent decent with a pistol.


Two entirely different situations.

DAO will be usefull in the alleys on kark, but G3 on semi auto will **** anything else up.


I wouldnt give up my G3 for ****s.

go for the DAO, but make sure you get REAL close to anybody before firing

when I use it I just bull rush the bastards in a arc and then plant one in the side of their head

Before I got the DAO, I hated the AT class. Those SMGs were simply worthless at any range.

Once I got the DAO, AT is the class I play the most (if not exclusively). As others have said, you can fight against anything and you will win most CQBs.

Fighting riflemen at range is a no-go, but that is not my style anyway. I like to get up close and personal.

Finally, of all the weapons, the DAO is the one that has given me the most Matrix moments (i.e. those times when you turn a corner, run into a 3-4 man squad, kill them all and say "Woah").
