POINT DIFFERENCE : Global Score/Total Points

Does anyone know what is this all about?

There is a difference between my Combat Score + Commander Score + Team Score and the Global Score , and in fact everyone else´s too .

Have you added up your scores ?

Global Combat = Commander + Combat + Team - x * TK - y * TD - z * S

whereby

x, y and z are 4, 2 and 1, respectively (not sure about those)
TK is number of teamkills
TD is number of teamdamage
S is number of suicides

Post it in the questions for Dice thread. Maybe there is a simple explanation.

One possibilty is that it could be from finishing a round with negative team points. It probably wouldn't take them off you're total team points but it would effect the score you recieve for the round.

DickY is correct, but some suicides don't affect your score, so you may not get a 100% correct score.

That can't be right mate, at least it doesn't add up for me.
I've got 939 teamkills, 501 team damage, 147 vehicle damage and 416 suicides. Even when adding them together without multiplying, I get a higher number than my "difference", which is 1373 points.

prolly some of those TKs and suicides are not added anymore to your score

remember the patch where TKs with arty as commander don't count anymore

Good point, but I haven't played commander in 1.12 (not in 1.03 either I think).

I wish DICE/EA could release a decent manual or even just make a thread somewhere, explaining things like this

You won't know for how many TK's you got punished (-8) and how many you got forgiven (-4)

Hasn't it been proven TIME and TIME again that punishing does NOT affect how many negative points you receive? It only serves to keep track of how many punishes it will take to get you kicked from the server.

tk is -4 points, no matter if you are punished or not, this has been discussed to death already.

Biggest point difference comes from arty as commander . Your combat score in BFHQ is credited with the 2 points for each kill but these are not added to your Global score in BFHQ

so a possible solution would be

Global = Commander + Team + Combat - 2 * ACK - 4 * TK - 2 * TD - VD - S

with
ACK = number of Arty Commander Kills
TK = number of Team Kills
TD = number of Team Damage
VD = number of Vehicle Damage
S = Suicides

but then is the question: where can we find the ACK?

As well as trying to fathom out ACK you would also have to try and work out how many times you were punished for a TK ... At the end of the day it's like asking "how long is a piece of string ?"
