Problem with BF2....

Hey all,

I just re-installed Battlefield 2 on a different harddriver to my previous one (slower one). And the patched to 1.12, and now when I enter the game, it has the EA and dice thing. And when it comes to 'Play Singleplayer/Play Multiplayer', it slows down and freezes and then the moniter turns off.

Any Suggestions?

System Specs:

AMD Athlon 2400+ @ 2Ghz
784MB DDR
ASUS A7V600-X
17" Samsung LCD 8ms Response
ATI Radeon 9600XT 128MB

Any Theroies?

DirectX?
Drivers?
Clean install?

Defrag - New harddrive.
DirectX - Installed 9.0c
Drivers - Newest ATI Catalyst Drivers
Clean Install - Yes, Fresh install

I have re-installed the drivers with .net framework, but I still get the same error. Any other suggestions?

You could use more ram. It could be your psu, 450w and up. Your system looks ok. Is your gfx card OC'd? If it is set it back to default. Have you tried reinsalling? Its still a crap shoot!

I have played BF2 on a AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.33Ghz, 512mb ram, the 9600xt. I just got an upgrade - now it starts to screw up! ARGH!
