My personal favorite 1942'ism was flying the bomber underneat the span bridge on Operation Market Garden.

I wasn't the best dogfighting pilot, but I could make almost anyone crash who was trying to follow me.

And who couldn't help but laugh when you'de swoop down on an airstrip, and hit a guy with your wings, carry him up a couple hundred feet, then let him drop?

Has anyone tried tank surfing in BF2?

See how badly the engine handles standing on a moving object and you'll understand way drivable large object at a bad idea. You can do it for awhile, but the jitter is horride when you aprouch anything like speed.

I once managed to ride the apache on Iron gator almost all the way to the MEC spawn, but was jittery as hell.... My awesome infiltration skills were cut short however when 10 meters from the shore I got noobtoobed out the water.... I was frustrated with that one... the gunner's head was turned at me the whole way in an albeit unchanging WTF? expression :)

Eh, you cant be serious.

The only thing that can attack carriers are jets and helo's, where ever you would move it, they would find you. It would only start griefing on a massive scale.

Can you imagine 32 players on that little island with no air support? Oh man..

They got the code worked out to where it wasnt really that jittery on the carrier in BF42.

I thought the ship battles were great. The pacific maps were my favorite. (M1 Garand <3 )

They probably just didnt want to code it in because they knew the MEC/Chinese dont have much of a Navy to do battle with the US.
