the FPS in those screen shots IS a bit lower than most people would like...

Pretty much the biggest differences are had by increasing to 'High Quality' and adding 16X AF. They also would have a huge performance impact as well.

Try running at 1280x1024 with 8X AF and 'Quality'. You may like it.

when i try to run nhancer, its tells me that there is a xml document error, it cant read the profiles, what do i do?

don't run this program, you can do all the same in your curent driver without any problems.

go to you graphic settings, advanced, then look, don't know it how it's called but you can make profiles for every game you have in the nvidia forceware driver, exactly the same as this program

yea i know about that, i already have some custom profiles in there, but doesnt nhancer allow you to have 16xAA combined.

I can set this to in my forceware driver, maybe it depends on what card you are running, I have a 7800GTX, could be that it's only for some high end cards that you can enable 16xAA and stuf like that

5.11's most stable, 5.13's latest.

Youre getting average 30 fps in those pics, not that good. Especially considering they dont even have that much action on them.

I don't know bout the rest of you but I get 40-60 fps on a standard full 64 player Karkand. I'm running 5.13's with no probs.

I had the same stance on FPS and argued for hours about how smart I was and all my common sense data from film class, and then someone posted a thread or replied in one, with links and examples, and after what I learned from them, I can say with some confidence (then again, I said the opposite with even more confidence earlier) that you actually need more than film's 24fps to maintain a fluid picture.

If you play at high specs you'll notice it more if you look for it. Anything below 40 is slightly perceivable (but not stuttery by any means until the low 30s).

edit: the reason videogames need higher fps is because the transition between frames isn't assisted by motion blur. Each frame is a perfect picture, whereas single frames from a movie have some blur to them. /edit

Either way, 30fps standing still means single digits during a firefight.

Been busy shopping around, thank goodness for nVidia's new forceware release 80 drivers, since my Gigabyte 6800 GT has been discontinued.

****, thats sick, my 6800gt 256mb i can only have medium with 1 thing on high, i got p4 2.8 gig and 1.5 ram. i want to know how much fps u get with that setting on a field map with 64 players. and how do i tweak it?

i put everything on high except one thing and put max resolution and play bf2 smooth. lol!
i got 6600GT also what is soo good in those pics? i see same **** as on my computer. Only thing is that u can see the grass in longer distance.

You see the same on your comp running max resolution, while I'm getting that quality at 1024x768.

lol resolution between 1280x1024@75 and 1024x768 is not a big difference.

You said "max" rez, 1280x1024 isn't the max rez, but yeah if you're getting the same results that's great!

I'm just trying to tweak the heck out of my rig to see what kind of quality I can get and still have a playable framerate.
And maybe help some other folks with their setups by posting my results.

Anyway, back to upgrading my comp.
