For flying jets it's pretty much a requirement, sure there are those people who claim to be "leet" using the keyboard and mouse, but really they have never come up against a half decent pilot with a joystick.

Helicopters are a different story, i use the joystick only because i've become use to it. However all the best chopper pilots i know use keyboard and mouse.

I had a saitek Jotstick. Its junk, stay away from that brand. I replaced it with a Logitech.

Joysticks are overrated imo.

Been using mouse and keyboard all the way since flying the SBD on the BF42 Wake island demo.
