    Servers/rooms for the new guys?

who here is new to bf2 and getting awful tired of dieing 40+ times a match?

i am, does bf2 have dedicated rooms or servers for people that are still learning the trade of bf2 and still work on there score. i'll admit, i suck, and i'm new to it all, so i gotta take most of the blame for dieing so much

i think it would be a good idea if EA set up global score rooms, and only allowed players with the global scores to play in that room,

    that way newbies play newbies,
the experts play the experts, and every one is happy. arn't they?

what do you think guys? does this already exsist? or am i dreamin and it'll never happen?

i know the single player mode is supose to be where you build your skills, but the single player mode doesn't effect your score, and playing against AI isn't nearly as fun as being killed, or killing "real" people

Practice makes perfect. You can aquire a level of kill/death within 2-3 days of playing and concentrating on developing those shooting skills. That and scroll through infantry tips given here everywhere. I suck at infantry, but this got me at least to a skill level where I DONT die every 10 seconds.

Most of the time others may suggest playing on our server but if you want easy games or a chance to learn the game it may not be a good place to start.

Not saying you won't be welcome to play on our server, you certainly are and maybe on one hand you could look at it that most if not all use teamwork. Getting in a squad and using teamwork is where the most fun can be had and you can learn off some of the more skilled vets who play.

Plus being in a squad you have others to look out for you, revive you etc. But if you want people at your skill level, ie new players learning the game its may not be the best place to start because the skill level and competition is a lot higher than the average server.

Like I said feel free to jump on and if you see an <<R2>> squad by all means jump in if there's room and we will try and show you the ropes.

Good luck, remember we were all noobs once and practice is the key!

      BTW welcome to the game.

thanks man, i might check it out, i've been playing it about 3 weeks now.. aveage 30mins a day, my global score is about 120 at the moment, so i'm still very new i know.

i never really joined squads in game, often i'd get kicked out of said squads, ill have to explore that part of the game a bit more me thinks.

Play with good players and ask for tips. The fastest way to get good at anything is by learning from the best. I've taught some of my friends how to play a few games when I and my other friends that were good just stomped all over the new guy all the while giving him tips/tricks and showing him the ropes. After a while he started closing the gap and got pretty good.

.I'll be playing sometime tomorrow if you wanna hit me up on xfire (tag is amishslayer) I'd be glad to show you around...practice various things you want with you.

I can show you how to fly helos and jets in my own little private server if you want too that way you don't need to wait for one or get tk'ed trying to get one :P

Yeah that's where you are going wrong. Always play in a squad! 6 people working together backing each other up is much easier than a lone wolf going up against 6 people.

Squad play is where its at and you will learn from the other guys and be carving them up in no time. Remember BF2 has a fairly steep learning curve, even the seasoned BF vets from BF1942 and BFV will confirm this.

              really?

              hmm

sometimes i've had no choice, 9/10 times i get kicked from a squad i join.

i'd love help, but i'm in australia, wouldn't my ping be to high for your server?

Wow, you must be new to this game, lol.

If you knew the people that played it, you would know that if there was a newbie room, that's where all the point whoring sharks would hangout, to eat the newb's alive.

A great idea, but it would require the honor system, and very few people play this game with honor. Most are exploit hunting, whores that would stab their team mates in the back if it gave them points.

                      yeah good point,

but i figured EA or the server owner could set a global score limit, EG people with 0-500 points can only play in the room..

you dont LOSE anything by being commander....but you gain the access to UAV, supply drops, artillery and map scanning

If you know where the enemy is (UAV or scan) you can hide or pick a good ambush spot.......or you could keep being sniped and you dont know where the sniper is
