Graphics card rumors

i have been hearing many rumors that people have gotton bf2 to run on "unsupported" graphics cards. what can u say to confirm or squash these rumors.

Ary changing your AGP setting in your BIOS to 4x instead of 8x.

Thank you, I certainly will.
This is for my buddy. He has a nice rig but a 9200, not supported by BF2. Yet another friend of mine with the same card does run his game. I just wanted to make sure if hes not mistaken and if it really is possible. Thanks again, I will give the advice forward.

lol yes the rumers are true, i was running my BF2 with a ATI Radeon X800 i believe, and that card SUXS. The good news is that now i have the XFX GeForce 7800 GTX 256mb, though i still cant play at MAXED OUT settings b/c of low ram, i have everything at Medium and it plays so smooth and freaking sweet, i have 512mb ram, not bad but ima get the 2x Cosair RAM 1 gb sticks, making it 2gb and have it with the two 256mb sticks making it 2gb and 512mb.

On single player maps, I can get around 40-50 FPS with my sweet 6200 with all low settings an no AA.

I was able to play it with ATI 9200 128MB AGP with AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz and 1.5GB PC 133 ram....lags like a mutha tho!

well my 9800 pro died soo had to put in my ladtec5200 gforce 128 no fan ran bf1942 and bf2 800x600 no aa everything on low

now have 6600gt 128ddr3 aswome 165 canadian
