Problems connecting to account server

Hi all,

I have bought Battlefield 2 today, when I try and log onto my account, it hangs on "Connecting To Account Server" my cable modem and router light flashes for around 5 mins but nothing actually happens.

I have turned off all firewalls on my machine, but it might be my router causing the problem.

is anyone else getting the same problem? (also I noticed something weird that my password doesnt work on my account, so I had to create a new one)

The account server isn't always working right, hard to tell if it's your fault or EA's. What I know for sure, it's not your router (I assume other internet applications are all working fine), I didn't even forward any ports to my machine and never had any problems connecting to account server and games. Don't know about your password though... maybe you found a new bug?
