SF Helicopters lagging

I'v did a search before the admins go through every page and the first 3-4 pages didn't have this problem listed.

Anyway this problem isn't just me, but when I get into a helicopter (sometimes) I get a stutter that last until the end of the map. Sometimes I can join and the helicopter will not lag at all, and it is only the helicopter that lags. I run everything on high my system is pretty high end infact its almost top of the line. I do run an Nvidia card, but I just can't figure out why this only happens sometimes, and more on certain maps then others. A clan mate of mine also gets this but he only gets it on the Mass Destruction Map, and sometimes he says it happens to him on other maps but his main one is the hind in that map. Anyway is there any suggestions for fixing this, should I delete my cache? I don't know what else to do but it is very annoying since I am a helicopter lover.... (not a whore because I can do good on the ground just as I can in the helo).

same thing happens to me quite a bit, I run all settings on high with no lag until i hop in an sf helo..... Geeksquad member for year and a half now and have no clue what the issue is......

i hardly get lag untill i play SF then i get alot of lag

I don't even play sf anymore because of the bad lag, and poor making, I do use the unlocks though

Like I said its only the helo for me.. the rest is fine... I am not sure, I thought at first it was night maps or something but it don't happen on them all the time same with day maps. I get in gunner seat and someone else flys no lag at all.

Iron Gator is the only one that i'v never had lag issues with in the helos... I run everything else fine as can be..

It is like that for me too.

Even looking at the other choppers, they look like they skip. My clan mate and I was trying to shoot down an enemy chopper and it was skipping all over the place

i dont always get it, but i do, i solved it for a little while by clearing out my cache, it had something like 1450 files in there...

Well its not connection lag for me. It actually feels is if its graphic lag but how on earth my pc can lag with a 7800GTX and 2GB of RAM is beyond me especially since it don't do it while on the ground and it only happens in the helos sometimes...

SF has been poorly coded. lower your settings down a bit. i recomdned lowring only lighting to med or low.i used to have the same problem too, untill i lowered lighting.

Yes helis are laggy for me too but not on a 32 player ghost town server the rest are bad...real bad.Only maps I play is ghost town and warlord 32 player maps anything else is super laggy.

I get the same, its only the helo's pilot seat, switch to copilot and its fine. I thought I had fixed the problem by lowering the detail to nothing. I played a few rounds with no problem and was really excited to fly the heli's again.

Then the next day the slideshow returned and has been the same since.

I don't get any lag in any other situation. Inside the carrier is fine, inside the palace on warlord is also fine, its just the heli pilot's seat and its ruining the SF experience for me.

I will be extremely disapointed if its not fixed in the next patch.

Yeah hopfully they will fix it, as you said it appears to be something with the seat. As when I am in the gunner postion and someone else flys I don't lag. So it has nothing to do with the map, it has to be something in the seat of the helicopters. Hopfully someone from EA will get wind of this and actually look into a fix for us helicopter lovers!

Also the slide show stuff only happens sometimes, other it will be just fine. I thought it was connection at first but I played on a server once when I had a 120 ping, then one the other day where I had a 20 ping. The one where I had a lower ping actually gave me the problem. Today I got onto a Europe server with a clan mate and once again it lagged. So its not connection issues... its something in the coding as someone said above... Glad I am not the only one experiencing this.

Do you all have Nvidia cards? Maybe its related to nvidia... Anyone with ATI get this issue?
