Not a Win32 App.

I have just had this problem on thursday...When I went to start up BattleField 2 it said "Please insert your installation disc" so I did (I normally have the DVD i have of BF2 imaged on Daemon) and then it still wouldn't go. I then proceed to go into My Computer and explore the DVD and I can go look at all the files but whenever I try to open one it says "D:\ is not a valid Win32 application" D:\ being what drive it was in. I try to "autoplay" it, nothing. Everything works and I mean EVERYTHING else works, Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source, BattleField 1942, NavyField, etc. Ok, something got screwed up so I try windows recovery, doesn't work either so I decide to re-format my drive. I do that and about an hour and a half later I have everything back up and running except for BF2 again, same message. I would gladly appreciate any help on getting this problem resolved because I need to have this game up and running for CAL with my team.

Do you have safedisk enables on daemon?
And what image are you useing?

Im using safedisc yes but im using the image of the BF2 DVD that i've been using and working fine ever since the game came out.

Try using a mini-image, if worst comes to worst shoot me either an IM or a PM on the boards here and I can post the .zip. Its 5MB or so.

I sorta fixed it, I had to go to another comp and copy all of the files on my BF2 DVD and run the install from there.
