Jumpy Connetion?

Hi,

Right i have nothing wrong with my connection,
I play Halflife2,GTR,Specops,Swat4 all fine online no lag runs smooth.

I play BF2 on singal player and it runs fine with medium settings 64 bots.

I play BF2 online and i get real bad
jumping not all the time but every 5 -7 secs with all setting on low


My Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 2800+
Asrock something board(having got manual here dont know detalis)
Geforce 6200 256mb
Micron 1.5 GB Ram 3200 400mhz 2.6volt
30Gig hardrive space
400w psu

Now my last system was

P4 2.8ghz
512mb ram
Geforce5600256mb

and i could run bf2 fine on low settings online.

Please help

I heard that it could be something to do with PunkBuster updating, try manually updating ur PB b4 u play. Goto ur BF2 directory...mine is..C:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb, then double click the pbweb icon & it shud search for updates.

then place it in ur BF2 directory.

It seems to be running better with pb but its still a little jumpy and says there is a problem with your connetion every 2-3 mins

wait r u sure u updated correctly? also, 512mb ram is a bit short for bf2, which could explain the stuttering

I have had that problem, I did speed tests and I would get results such as 500, 600, 300, K/sec and it would go slowly, I tried every server and I would have ping of below 150, and there would be lag jumps everywhere. You just gotta wait eventually it will disapear, or call your ISP and complain and complain and they will give you unlimited bandwidth, that's how I am now able to get 600, sometimes 700k/sec when I am only supposed to be getting 500 .

did you read what i said?

I have 1.5gb ram

I dident have any stuttering when i was using 512mb on me old system and i had an older video card its strange.

as far as i know im fully and proply updated.
