How do you make a demo for a console that doesnt exist?

How do you make a realtime video if the hardware you have isnt powerful enough?

A lot of people will need new TV's to use a PS3, apparently it will only output over a HDMI connector.

and what would these prototypes be?

A software reference rending engine? such an engine would run very very slowly -so its the same as prerendering.

were (pc owners) gonna get mainstream phycards this year you know...

                      phys cards

perhaps then well get fully modeled individual rounds in bf style games and the ricochets we were promised.

Yeah this is what i'm really looking forward to next-gen. i really don't care if the games look life like. I know the games will look good, i mean the PS3 will have a better gfx card than most people computer

maybe you missed this interview with the makers of that "phyx cards"
Several versions of the technology will be offered: software-based rendering on single- and dual-core PCs, software versions running on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and PCs equipped with PhysX chips. Although the PhysX libraries accelerate a host of technologies, from physical object interactions to fluid-based particle effects like water and smoke, only the PlayStation 3 and a PhysX PC will have the horsepower to process all of the technology's features, Ageia executives said. The Xbox 360 will not be able to process the fluid-based technology, because of the limitations of its architecture

You morons know that isn't real-time footage, right? Please tell me you guys know, otherwise, you all look like a bunch of fools. The PS3 final hardware hasn't even been revealed/shown yet. Don't fall for the ******** hype Sony's been shoving down your throats since the PS1. Remember the Emotion Engine's so-called "Toy Story-like" graphics. Please, post a video of a PS3 game when it's actual in-game footage. This was a waste of time.

                            AGEIA Physics Processor at E3

here is an extract for you....

AGEIA was able to name some software titles that will enjoy physics acceleration, too. Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends from Microsoft, Ghost Recon 3 from UbiSoft, City of Villians from NC Soft, and Atari's Matrix license Path of Neo are some of the highlights they told us about.
