We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Well, i got over 40 AGAIN, still no ribbon. I tried doing it as Support but it's hard to get 40, the closest i've got is 35.
Is there anyone i can contact about this? It's driving me mad!
Hmm...that is just odd...you should have gotten it. I would suggest trying a different server or something...maybe the server you were playing says it's ranked but really isn't...thats why when I go for awards I usually play on EA official servers.
Ok, so I got +40 AGAIN! Still no ribbon. I tried getting 40 with support, buit it is proving difficult. The best i've got so far is 35. I've timed myself several times, and i've been in squads longer than 26 minutes.
Is there anyone I can talk to about this? It's driving me mad!
Just a stupid thought. 28 minutes give or take. 8 deaths in the round. do the death times count? 8 x 15 secs might be near enough to take you under the 26 minutes.
If we're REALLY all talking about Meritorious Unit ribbon here, then I'm stumped...
I'll just chime in.
Does anybody know if they changed any of the requirements for this ribbon with any of the patches? I got this patch back in v1.0 and it was EXACTLY as is described in UBAR.
You have to be in a squad for 26 minutes and achive a team score of 40 both in one round (which it sounds like you've done a NUMBER of times).
Maybe there is a problem with the timer or something and you should send an e-mail to BFHQ@ea.com.
I'm betting the timer is the issue and you probably have to be in a squad for MORE than 30 minutes or so. So just make sure you work on your team points, stay in a squad the ENTIRE TIME...and hope the round goes long
Looking at your account I don't see how you are even close to getting those ribbons/medals. For example, Meritorious Service also requires 250 hours of play time. I don't think you are quite there yet.
Have you been switch squads? I'm fairly sure that you have to be in the same squad for those 26 minutes.
FYI, I'm fairly certain there's some randomization in the requirements. I know I got 9 knife kills before I got my Vet Knife badge. It may require more or less time/points that is listed. Keep trying. You'll get it eventually.
No it does not require 250 hrs. I got that ribbon before even reaching a hundred hours of game play, perhaps even 50 hrs.
I don't know what the problem is with you not getting it, but just keep trying. Make sure the server is ranked, and as soon as you join a squad, start timing it to make sure you get the 26 minutes. Same with the team points, just get more than you are supposed to get just because sometimes it doesn't award you it even after receiving the needed points. I remember for my legion of merit ribbon I had to score a few more points before it actually gave it to me.
Coderedpl and Raceacontari:
I made a mistake.I thought we were talking about the Meritorious Service Medal not the Meritorious Unit Ribbon. The medal requires 250 hours of gameplay before you are elligable. However, the RIBBON only has 2 requirements:
IAR: 26 minutes in a Squad
IAR: 40 team points
IAR stands for in-a-round for those that don't know. The 26 min and 40 TP must be achieved in the SAME round not in different rounds hours, weeks or months apart. 40 team points is not all that easy. Are you SURE your team points are 40 or more. That is NOT your total score, it is your team points only. I think you get team points for base captures, kill assists, heals, repairs, etc. but NOT for kills. He is right about getting more than the needed 40. You may not get the ribbon until you hit 42 or 44 . Who knows why. Also, you may already know this but you will only got it once. You don't get it every time you hit those stats.
I thought you were talking about the medals. The majority of those are very tough to get. I recently got my Navy Cross Medal. I thought I'd never get there. It's requirements are: 100 best round score(US team only), 250h played on USA , 500 wins (USA only).Just go to http://bf2s.com. They have a good database of awards and how you get them.
Good Luck, sorry for my mistake in first post.

Are you sure you are counting team points and not total points? You 40 "team" points. If you have 40 team pts your total score is probably more like 60-100.

Maybe?
I'll bet you are right. My experience has been that the awards take a few more min. than they say. Deaths probably has a lot to do with that.

Another question, do they both have to be in the same round? Because I have done that too.
I've had problems getting badges to register if I pass the requirement for hours total in class, but don't log out of the game before trying for the kills / minutes in a squad. Vet Anti-tank for instance. I passed 15 hrs. as Anti-tank, and then went on to score 20+ kills in 2 separate rounds after that. No Vet badge. I logged out, waited a while, then went back in, and was awarded the badge on the very next round I qualified in.
If you had a dedicated gaming machine, and never logged out because it takes so long to log back in, that could potentially be a problem.
