I always have problems with this. I have always been an infantry kind of guy but I know I need to start using more planes to get the points going more and more. Everytime I try and fly i always end up going 700 some mph or something and the plane is impossible to really control. What is the best way to figure this out? Holding W just doesn't work and I can't see just tap the w every now and then as the solution?? Somone help please.

Re: jet flying?
with practice you will become better - the joystick is not magic!
open up clean sweep in single player and practice
personally i use keyboard only and it is perfect for ground attack less so for dogfighting but with the joystick it is the opposite so :|Comment

As for your problem, I'm not quite sure what you mean, 700mph is borderline flyable depending on the plane. Try cleaning your keyboard and make sure the keyboard setup is correct.Comment

Re: jet flying?
I would recommend Saitek Cyborg Evo - great joystick for a beginner..that's what I have too.
Ive never been into flight sims before, and BF2 is the first game I actually played as a pilot for a considerable amount of time...anyway, on the third flight with my newly acquired joystick I recieved air ribbon...Comment

he meant height, i believe. (so it's not mph) when u go over the altitude of 800, ur jet will be out of control, and u have to turn down the throttle to 0 in order to get back to flyable height again.Comment

Re: jet flying?
I suck at flying, only have like 4 or 5 hrs in a jet. But I see no reason to become uber at jets, because I can get more points on SF than the jet wh0res can using their uber vehicles.Comment

Re: jet flying?
I disagree I haven't seen an sf guy with 140 points without major chopper time but i see jet whores with that many points all the time. I know i need to start since i am about to become gunnery sargeant the promotions become spread out points wise.Originally posted by VeNg3nCe^I suck at flying, only have like 4 or 5 hrs in a jet.
