When u fly a jet and u want to take out ground targets when exactly u release your bombs? Right above the targets?

DIVE BOMB, don't try carpet bombing with 1 or 2 bombs, won't work.

If you are dive bombing and missing, well, keep trying.

There are numerous threads about this.
You must teach yourself. Use the camera view to look behind yourself to se where your bomb lands. The steeper the angle the easier it is to hit your target.

Use the aiming reticle..when the two lines cross, approximately when they are on the target drop it. If you are in a slight dive as well, that will aid accuracy

Best way to learn? Trial and error...usually involving lots of time, and lots of errors...be prepared to get kicked from a few servers!

I like to barrel roll round and take out the AA with guns. Save your chaff/flare for when your leveling up for the shot. You can walk your bullets on to the target as well.

If you dive bomb try to gain some altitude first and go near vertical. Leave some room for pulling up.

Carpet bombing takes some getting used to. If you can, find a server with battlefield recorder and you can pick out landmarks as reference points.

I studied a while some footage from a game i played on Gulf of Oman. I marked the first bunker at the MEC airfield as a reference point and studied when i dropped the bombs and where they landed. Comes in handy and eventually you get a feel for the right time to release.

Just dive straight down on the target - your bombs will go wherever your nose is pointing.

dive bombing sux imo, for ppl with a low fps dive bombing is very hard

i always use carpet bombing and it works fine, i always kill :)

trial and error, i prefer carpet bombing myself because I know when and where to release...dive bombing takes finesse in know when to start heading down...carpet bombing is good on the ships because of helo's or planes taking off and then changing weapons as you approach...

Flying high up and droping them high altitude is nice as well.

The fighters are harder to use due to the asynchronous dropping of the two bombs, so diving helps there.

But to the guy who mentioned aiming reticles, please explain I don't remember seeing them

When you dive bomb that little circle in the middle of your HUD helps a lot

With the F15 or the SU34 carpet shallow dive bombing is most effective.
